A friend of mine is due with a little girl on June 19, 2007. She's 27 weeks along now. We need little girl names! She wants to name the baby after her and her husband's mother's names. Her mother's name is Emilie (it was actually Emma Lee, but everyone called her Emilie) and her husbands mother's name is Babara Jean. Any ideas to combine these *you can add in other names, we're okay with two middle names as long as they flow together. We thought about Emilie Barbara *Thomas* (last name), but it doesn't roll off the tounge. We've also thought of Emilie Jean-Paige Thomas. But that's too wordy. Please help!

I have been exclusively breastfeeding my daughter for the past 6 months. When I first had her my husband picked up a small manual pump for me (to relieve some engorgement) but it really doesn't work very well. I can express faster by hand. Now that she has started eating cereal I have been hand expressing milk to mix it with. It works fine for just and ounce or two for cereal but any more gets tedious and uncomfortable. With summer coming and her getting older I am looking to get an electric breast pump to express more milk for her to drink from a bottle or sippy (still keeping with nursing tho).

Any reccomendations (from experience) on a good brand/style and where to buy them?

Also, I don't know if it matters (I have heard different oppinions) I am rather large breasted, would different styles work better for me vs someone small breasted?

~Thanks in Advance! ~

Lady Quai a few day ago you asked me if you had the baby would I be mad forever. Yes I think I would. I already feel hurt like I was tricked, like I'm being forced into something I'm not ready for. I know you don't want anything from me but heres the part that kills me most. I don't want to be my father, but I don't know anything else. I don't even want to learn right now. Maybe Carl's right about me.

I always wanted a baby boy to be a Jr, but my fiancee is already a Jr, his father was not in the picture when he was a baby, so he really doesn't like his name. I think it's cute to have your first son named after you no matter if he is the 4th fifth or 6th, but how do you feel about naming a baby after a jr to be a third?

just trying to find an average price that it would cost to have a sonogram done, if your med. insurance will not cover any of it. My wife and I are both in the military, and we would like to find out the sex of our baby, before the delivery. Dealing with the military doctors, they will not conduct a sonogram to find out the sex, and we never have a chance to see the sonograms that the military docs do. We ask for them, but they tell us that the tests are not conducted to find sex. i would do the research, but i am deployed to Iraq, and can't really do much from here. any help or figures i could get, I would really appreciate! Thanks

I am writing a paper on Twining and more when the Mother used fertility Drugs (thats not the title, I haven't thought of one yet). I am wondering if anyone has conceived twins or triplets on Clomid, Gonal-f or other non IVF fertility treamtments? If so what days and doses did you take Clomid? As for Gonal-f what days did you do it also and did you take any other medications in conjunction? What other treatments did you try? How many cycles did it take you to get pregnant? What was the results of every pregnancy that occurred while you were on fertility medications. (MC, SB, singleton, twin, triplet, more) One last question... What was the cause of your infertility. This is a pretty important question that I need answered for this paper. If you don't feel comfortable posting a response on here please e-mail me with the response and I'll keep your identity anon. laura_essary@yahoo.com Please include any other information that you believe will be useful to me. Thanks, Laura

I really want to have a baby, so bad I can't stand it. I know I can't right now because my husband and I are both still in school. We are planning to start a family after we both graduate in August, but how do I deal with wanting a baby until then?

am almost 37 weeks pregnant, my boyfriend, at the time we met told me how he has always wanted 2 girlfriends, that did not bother me,we did the 2 gf thing, twice & both times it worked for a while & then it ended, well now he wants to try it again, & im just like "hold the f**k on, im about to pop & i feel huge, and you want to have someone else here in OUR relationship when at the moment im just not the most physically confident, sexual, willing person i was a year ago..." (i havent said that to him, which is why im asking) How should i say that this is not something that im comfortable with at the moment...i feel like he should be here for me & not getting someting going with someone else. becuase what is gonna happen when i am "out of commission" for 6 weeks, is he just gonna be screwing her all f*ing day long, & running away from me to her. i dont know what to do, i dont want to have him just do this behind my back. please give me some non-judgemental advice on what to say & do.

There seems to be so many ungrateful people either moaning about their kid's behaviour or wishing they could have twins rather than one baby or ask the dumbest questions about pregnancy that they really should know seeing as they are actually preggers or other countless complaints and questions.

I can't have kids and I'd swap with all of you. I know I'm being completely unreasonable and you don't have to have kids to know that a lot of the questions and frustrations are completely justified and vallied but I get really frustrated with you parents sometimes! LOL

You can berate me now if you want.

My husband and I really want to start a family. We have some debt that will go away in two years. I really want to have kids now but don't know if accruing more debt is smart. Is no time ever the right time? I keep thinking the best time will never come and/or I won't recognize it if it does! Opinions?

Is anyone else tired of the people who ask "I had unprotected sex, could I be pregnant?" or "I took 12 pregnancy tests, they all came back negative, am I pregnant?"

I mean really! Yes, you could be pregnant if you have unprotected sex. And no, I don't know if you are pregnant. See your doctor!!

Anyone else agree?

i happened to be in a daycare today visiting a friend of mine who works there. We sat and had coffee. There was a 6-month-old who was crying in crib (nap time), first softly, then gradually louder, then just plain cryin' hard. I'm a mom of 3, know the sound -- he wanted to be cuddled. The woman who runs the place finally took him out and placed him right in carseat. She told me he usually doesn't cry like this (maybe I disturbed nap time, but that's when I was told to drop in). Anyway, she also said they "NEVER hold them. That's for the mom to do. If we start holding them, we'd be holding them all day."

Is this standard practice in daycare?

Might I add, he was the only baby there under 2 years, so I'm not sure how many others she would have been "holding all day" anyway.

I am due any day now and I asked my doctor who can I have in the delivery room with me besides my Hubby. I was told 1 person besides my hubby can go. My mom has always been there for my other deliveries from my first marriage. This baby is my hubby's first child and my mother in law's 2nd grand kid. I love my mother and mother in law but I hate to choose between them and possibly hurting their feelings. My mother in law already included herself to go to the hospital and my mom is not aware of this but she says its okay if she stays home and watches my kids while I'm at the ER. But if my mom ever finds out that my mother in law was at the delivery room I know there will be some fights. What should I do?

He argues that he is getting too old. I am 28 and he is 35. Our first kid was a suprise baby so I want to be ready and I want it done right the second time around. He is giving me the cold shoulder as punishment until I agree.

Please don't listen to what the paid professionals around you are saying while you are so vulnerable.

Hold the baby in your arms. You are the only real mother for this child.

Please go to this site and read what women before you have had to endure.
