You can purchase (in the U.S.) Plan B birth control without a prescription if you are 18 years or older. Under 18, you need a prescription. You must ask the pharmacist, its kept behind the counter.

i have never heard of the after birth pill. i have heard of the morning after pill. That one you do not have to have a percription for. However not all pharmacy's carry it. Go to plannedparenthood.com and they will give you a list of pharmacys that carry it. It does cost about $50.00. There is also the "abortion pill" that you can take up to 8 weeks pregnant, however i dont know too much about that one.

just call your reg doctor and he/she should be able to send the prescription to the pharmacy
