I really want to have a baby, so bad I can't stand it. I know I can't right now because my husband and I are both still in school. We are planning to start a family after we both graduate in August, but how do I deal with wanting a baby until then?

I have friends who have babies, but they live over an hour away. I can't have dogs or cats where I live, but I have a bird. I don't have a lot of time to babysit because I am always at school or doing homework.

I studied everything there was to know about pregnancy and delivery and I am glad I did. Read up on prenatal care and decide which tests are worth it and which are not. Read about circ. Read about breastfeeding (so you won't be one of those moms who thinks that you can't breastfeed before your milk "comes in") or so you can at least make an informed choice about formula feeding. Read about midwives. Read about epidurals, etc, etc.

I am glad I did.

Well you really just answered your question you stated "you do not have time to baby-sit right now" then how are you going to tend to a baby 24/7 right now?
Maybe you should wait a good while. There is no need in being in such a hurry. Take your mind off of it and concentrate on your studies.

Babysit a few nights overnight if possible, it's surprising how lack of sleep can put you off.

Get a pet. Cats are great since they are so independent! Dogs would be a little more work due to training them.

sit for a friend with a baby, if you have any.
Otherwise just try to think of it in a resposible manner, thats what I had to do until my hubby and i were ready, its hard but you can do it. Its mind over matter.
