I am a District Manager with Arbonne International and I can share with you what I decided to do. I absolutely love the products and business opportunity. I was able to start my business for only $29. As a consultant, you can either make 35% off of retail sales (at the time of the sale) or a percentage off of wholesale orders (percentage increases with different levels of management). The more wholesale buyers and business builders you sponsor, the bigger your residual check will be.

Arbonne has over 400 consumable, proprietary products made with exceptionally high EUROPEAN STANDARDS of quality. Our products are in 6 key consumer markets including skin care, body care, weight loss, nutrition, aromatherapy, and cosmetics. People are really starting to take better care of themselves. They want to live longer, healthier lives so the health and wellness industry is a great place to be.

All of their products are formulated in Switzerland and made in the US so they're unlike any others on the market. They're made with natural botanicals, pure, safe, beneficial, hypoallergenic, pH correct, dermatologist tested, and formulated without alcohol, wax, dyes, chemicals, fragrances, acetone, and mineral oil. The products are revolutionary and result oriented. People love them and Arbonne is booming with over 111% growth every year since 2002 with 164% growth in 2005 over 2004. We more then surpassed that half way through 2006.

Arbonne is stable with over 27 years experience and a leader is the industry, debt free with a low start up cost of $29, no inventory, no sales requirements, no territory to limit growth, free online ordering and toll free ordering with direct shipping to consumers, free online training, committed leadership, Mercedes Benz car program, and the most generous compensation plan in the industry. Here are the AVERAGE monthly commissions for Arbonne consultants.

District Manager - $291.67/month

Area Manager - $1,551.35/month

Regional Vice President - $6,773.33/month + $800 Mercedes Benz cash bonus

National Vice President - $31,348.09/month + $1,000 Mercedes Benz cash bonus

We build relationships, share premium proprietary products and offer an opportunity for others to not only look and feel great about themselves, but also to change their lives. I'm able to work my business several hours a week from the comfort of my own home. Arbonne makes business easy! If you're interested in learning more, I'll be happy to help you.

Hi there,

What about house cleaning - work for cash. Put your name out there. You might find flexible clients who will let you come when your husband is home from work to watch the kids. I did this for a while when my son was little. I now have three kids and wouldn't dream of "working." I just live on much, much less. Freecycling etc. We do live on a modest incomen and own a house, so it can be done.
You could also do things like sell Arbonne, Pampered Chef, and Partylite. You can make quite a living off of that stuff and work your own hours. Nice to have some adult time too.

Good luck.

I think the only place you can volunteer and have your son be welcomed is any place where children are. Call your local community center to see if there are children's activities that need volunteers. Your library may have children's activities where volunteers are needed as well. This may be twice as good for you, to volunteer with kids AND to meet moms such as yourself for a support system while your husband is away. Also, never feel like you are slacking while being a mother. Mothers actually have the most important job on earth, you know. There is NOTHING more important than raising your children. Because these kids are our future. Never forget that.

Jobs for stay at home mom
Jobs for stay at home moms. Why go to work when you can stay at home and raise your own child. Learn some ways you can make it work for you.

It may seem like an impossibility, but you can make money and still be a stay at home mom. Spending time with your children and raising them yourself is its own reward. When I was younger and my mother went to work full time, my brothers and I absolutely hated it, we felt alone and we wanted our Mommy! I won't go into the various opportunities for doing office work from home, telemarketing, etc. but will cover two easy ways that anyone can implement with a simple ad in the newspaper.

One of the easiest ways to make money at home is to provide day care yourself. A small ad in the newspaper will get you more inquiries than you can handle. So many moms work, there is a great demand for day care and more and more families are preferring private homes with less children. Even if you only care for two extra children per week you can make as much money as a week in the office, after taxes and day care expenses. You don't have to leave the house, your children will have someone to play with and you are making money! Rates vary by area, you can call a few ads in the paper and ask what other people are charging to get an idea of what to ask for if you're not sure. Some states have child care certificates you can apply for which will give you more credibility. You'll want to provide a clean play area with plenty of toys, (educational ones are the best!) Get your 'day care' area in order and some references, and place that ad!

Another way to make money is to clean. Most working women these days do not have time to clean their own houses. The house cleaning market is booming! If you find another stay at home mom, you can work tandem, trading a few hours of babysitting for your friend while she cleans a house and vice-versa. Put a short ad in the paper and soon you will be getting calls. We usually ended up turning people away because we couldn't handle all of the requests. When you get a call, they will want you to come out to the house and give them an estimate. Depending on your area, you can make up to 20$ an hour cleaning a house, and that is still cheaper than the big services charge. Figure out how long it will take you to clean a room so you can give a fair guess on your price. My basic rule is 1/2 hour for each bathroom, 1/2 hour for the kitchen and fifteen minutes per each room that needs only dusting and vacuuming. For ten hours per week, you can bring in a nice amount of money and be home before the kids get off the bus. Now, you might be saying, CLEANING??!! Are you NUTS?! Well, trust me, when your work is paid for and appreciated, it makes all the difference in the world, plus, you don't have to be around when it gets messed back up again!

Both of these work ideas are cash businesses, that means there are no taxes taken out. It is your responsibility to claim this money on your income tax returns using the self-employment tax forms. If you do child care, some people deduct child care expenses on their tax returns and will put your name on the form, so make sure you claim the income. The plus side is, this money will be counted towards your social security benefits if you claim it on your tax return. The real benefits will be seen in the children, raised by their own mothers and loving it!

Do you qualify for low-income programs such as food stamps, cash assistance (Welfare), WIC, housing, free energy, etc? Those could really come in handy so you can raise your child.

Oh! You can also be a respite provider for kids or adults with disabilities in your own home. You agree on hours with the client. Find any Respite Care provider in your area and you can do that.

Start a home business where you take peoples CDs and upload them to a portable drive and label and organize them. I would pay to have this done and I have lots of CDs and am too lazy to do it myself.
