I am in a new relationship right now after a long term one, and I have 2 daughters who I want to focus all my attention on and am not in the position to have another child as of yet with this new woman. I know I know, wrap it up but we both would rather I didn't, that and the fact that she has an IUD in place..

I want one more child, I have 3 now, 4 yr old, a 22 month old, and a 4 month old. I am 28 years old, and just found out I have thyroid problems and Anxiety. I am on some meds that may not be safe for the baby. I called in to my Dr. already. I want one more and then I am going to get a tubual ligation, but is it to soon? My husband and I are trying to be safe, but oops...so now the thought of having another baby is great, a gift from God, but is it too soon? Have any of you ladies had a baby this soon?

I don’t understand why everyone gives teenagers who are pregnant so much sympathy just because of the situation they put themselves in! What is up with that? I do not believe in stereotyping anyone--especially teenage mothers but why give them sympathy? I don’t care about anyone’s age, it seems to me people on here who are young mothers or are young and pregnant always put “I’m 16 and…” Why should we care how old they are to answer their questions? You don’t see some one write “Hi, I’m 32 and…” Are pregnant teens trying to get sympathy or attention because of their age? I think a lot of teenagers put a really bad reputation out there for themselves and others in the same situation---therefore creating and adding to stereotypes . What are your feelings on this?

I also should add--I was pregnant with my first at seventeen--I'm nineteen now--just for judgment's sake.

I am about 12 wks pregnant and my job is very stressful especially at this time of year and with some situations going on now. My family has told me I need to talk to my doc about it and how it is affecting my pregnancy. I am stressed to the point my stomach is in knots and cramping alot and I throw up not from nausea but from being so stressed. I was wondering if anyone else has went through something like this and what you did. I'm not sure what to do and I just can't quit working either right now. Any suggestions would greatly be appreciated.

I had a miscarriage yesterday. I was only two months pregnant at the time and hadn't even realise I was pregnant until I went to the doctor with severe stomach cramps and heavy vaginal bleeding.

Now I feel as though I killed my baby because I was still taking contraceptive pills.

People tell me that it wasn't my fault as there was no way I could have known seeing as I hadn't missed a period.

As helpful as the people close to me are trying to be I really need to hear from people who have had a miscarriage who can be honest with me without feeling as though they may upset me.

Anyone who can help I really would appreciate it.

I'm about to give birth and am sick of people telling me about these women in china who supposedly give birth while working in the paddy fields, hand the newborn over to an older family member then carry on picking/planting rice. I'm convinced its a myth or if not then the mortality rate amongst the women and new born babies must have been pretty high. Is there any documentation out there about this?

I'm currently 38 weeks pregnant and wanted so badly to breastfeed for lots of reasons, but unfortunately, I'm not able to. For any experienced mothers, how long does it take for breast milk to "dry up"? Is it painful?

Any information about this would be helpful... Thanks.

Has anyone else noticed the contradictions that plague motherhood.

A generation ago mothers were told to lay babies on stomach - now this is considered dangerous and a cause of cot death.

Mothers were told to breast feed on a 4 hr schedule and to limit bf to 5 minutes on each side. Now mothers are told to feed on demand on one side until empty, and then offer the other.

Mothers were told to give solids @ 4 months, and are now told not before 6 months.

Mothers were encouraged to use formula - now it seems the worst thing you could possible do is supplement.

Is it just me that finds the contradictions in advice dumbfounding - It makes me wonder what will happen in another generation and what advice will be given to our children. No doubt the advice we've felt compelled to follow will be found to be inadequate or dangerous etc

Possible a good reason to ignor advice and bring up our babies how we mums think best ay?

My sister has a rule that all toys must be kept in the bedrooms and no matter what we do we cannot get my 3 year old niece to play in her room. She keeps saying she is scared of the cow in there. Ok there is no cow and when you tell her that then she changes her story and comes up with something else that she is scared of. She will go in her room by herself to get things or change clothes and doesn't have any problems taking naps or going to bed in her room. Why would she be afraid to play in there if nothing else about it seems to bother her. We've tried going in and playing with her and even that will only last for a few minutes. She has lots of toys that she loves to play with-just not in her room. Occasionally when the weather in nice she can select a few toys to take outside and play with and she gets to take some of her favorites when she goes to grandma's house so it's not that she doesn't like her toys she just won't play in her room. Any suggestions why?

I have 2 children 2 months & my oldest 15months.Anyhow they had a pediatrician app 2day.Myself & my childs father were there.Well he treated me really bad while I was pregnant & he has apologized numerous time & asked for another chance to work on somethings but this time together and see after we work on those things if we can get back together. So I decided to allow him to do so as long as he proves that he is willing b/c change starts somewhere. He's been doing great.Calling, coming to see his child, communicating exc..So anyway we're in the room w/the doctor & he starts asking her about h/practice just general questions(which I was also interested in) then out of no where he says"oh let me stop asking questions b4 she (me) thinks im flirting" I go "what i wouldve never thought that". Me im no where near jealous or that dumb to even think like that.Plus she not his type too old. He's never had that problem outta me.Well I got mad & he apologized. How do I handle it mature & respectful?
