On november 2, 2004 i found out that i was pregnant. I started haivng pains on November5, 2004 and went to the ER. I waited int he waiting room for nearly 3 hours under "urgent" and when i finally got called into a room the doctor did a speculum exam as well as a vaginal ultrasound to verify pregnancy and to see what was wrong. Keep in mind i was just 2 days shy of 6 weeks. The doc told me i was fine and pumped me fullof morphine to stop the pain and sent me home. Well on Monday November 8, 2004 the hopsital called to see if i wanted to come in for a follow up. I decided to go and see if everything was ok. I started cramoing again on the way to the appointment and when i was seen by the doctor he told me that the pregnancy was ectopic and before i could even say huh? i was being prepped for emergency surgery to stop the hemorraging because he said any longer and i would die. Im mad that the doctor before didnt say anything when i asked Am I still pregnant? Should i get a lawyer?

I have just had my second child (Josh) & was intregued by an artical on "elimination control"
I would love to hear from moms (or dads) who practice this for tips / experiences on how to do it? at home, when out,car journeys, on vacation ect...
I would love to try it but dont see that it would be practical.
Any advice please?

i dont want to deny the child because ive been there throughout the pregnancy everyday, but something in me is saying maybe its not mine. I plan on signing the certificate because i dont want to cause a problem in our household. Is there a difference between a private test and a test that is done through the state of florida? If there is a such thing as a private test, how much do they cost, and if i am the father do i automatically get put on support? If im not the father, will i still have to take responsibility for the child even though i signed the birth certificate? Please someone answer these questions, because i can pay for a private test, and will pay for it no matter what it cost. I just moved to florida from michigan with my girlfriend and i dont want her putting me out cause i have no where to go. I have no family or friends here. So therefore i will just wait and see if the child looks like me in two weeks. Please give the correct answers or links to florida laws and sites.

Im 35 and with two chirldren 13 and 16. i recently remarried and we agreed to try for a baby, well three months later we were pregnant.at 14 weeks i was in a auto accident at the time the baby was fine but at 19 week ultrasound we discovered the baby had died two weeks previous.it was a hard time i gave birth to a baby boy. we were both crushed. after many tests and no explanation of his death my dr said there was no reason why we couldnt try again. i was excited to here that, but not my husband. we have argued for six months about this he does not want to try agian and its killing me i wanted a third child ten years ago but it was never a good time. i dont understand what actually is his hold up he says its his age its money but all the factors were there the first time we got pregnant. i understand him being scared i would be to. he admits he is being selfish and it rips my heart out i really really want another child. how can i make him understand how important it is to me.

Friends have given me 2 books which are far better than any of the others I have looked at. They are "The Rough Guide to Pregnancy" and "The Best Friends' Guide to Pregnancy". I found them funny, readable and really truely useful. Are there any more out there just as good? I'm not interested in the biology as such, I want to know the really useful stuff like, "Can you breastfeed with pierced nipples?" or "Which baby socks actually really stay on (and where can I buy them)?

I read a note from his girlfriend to him talking about how her mother is taking her to her doctor appointments, and it's almost time to tell me, and he'd better get a job, etc. They don't know that I know this, and I'm not sure how to react.

I'll first explain my situation. I'm a married and a stay at home mom to a beautiful six month old son. We do have insurance that has limited co-pays and I do not breastfeed. I don't understand why people say babies are so expensive. We buy brand name Pamper diapers and off-brand Parents Choice formula. We also buy solids and snacks for our son. So far I have bought him sassy toys, an exersaucer, swing, convertible car seat, stroller with car seat, High Chair, and a few lay down toys. Our monthly income is approximately. $1,400. Besides the toys, books and the clothes (most clothes are bought by relatives) which we buy sparingly I think it only costs us about $80-$100 a month? Have I not hit the height of child expenses? How much do you spend a month on your infant/child? Thank you for your answers and opinions!

I recently found out that we are going to have to start paying for my daughters daycare. At first we didnt have too cause we didnt make enough money. Plus i was a single mom and qualified for the Tea program which just pays for her daycare. And now im freaking out cause its like were getting married in less then a month!! {september 22nd} and we have to start paying for the daycare! It's 85 dollers a week!! even if they dont go that week. Like if there out for christmas break they still get the 85 dollers even tho daycares not open! Its not that i dont think they deserve the money cause they do and proably a lot more! It's just i dont know how were going to swing it. With rent, electric, car payment, insurance, gas for the car, cable, cell phones, groceries, now this...!!! Its aggervating cause its like were not supposed to get married or something cause everything bad keeps happening to us!!! yikes!! HOW DO PEOPLE AFFORD DAYCARE??!?!?!?!??
