Its the name of a town in Iceland, but Id just like to know what it means.

Marike is still a quite popular name in the north of Germany and in the Netherlands. It's a Dutch and Low German form of Marie. The "-ke" ending is a diminutive ending, so Marike means "little Marie".

There is no town in Iceland that has the name Marike.. are you sure it's written like this? Marike is not an icelandic word.
