they have never seen a breast before. people complian about public breastfeeding yet if there best friend were to change their shirt in front of them they wouldnt show a care in the world. or they pop in a porner without a worry or have their thong popping halfway out their A$$. but when it comes to a baby eating they act as if she is having sex in public. i read in a question that a woman did not want to have to explain to her child what that person was doing- why wouldd you not want to educate your child? or tell tehm the truth about life? i breastfeed in front of my 10 and 4 year old brother, heck in front of my 22 year old brother- they dont even notice anymore because it's normal- they are educated andd my younger brothers never even knew of another way to feed him- why is society today not getting the hint

I was breastfeeding full time until he was three months old but when I went back I was pumping during the day and breastfeeding at night. My milk has severely dropped...I only pump once a day now and I have about a total of 4 oz. Shouldn't I be on my cycle already.
I have been taking birth control pills, the one's when your breastfeeding. So I don't think I'm pregnant.

I have a 1 month infant and one of the breasts is more sore than the other. The nipples have healed and I think my baby is latching fine as well. During latch the pain is quite a bit and also I notice that the aerola is also sore where the jaws of the baby are. Has anyone experienced this. I spoke to the lactation consultant and the were not sure why the aerola would be sore as well.
I do have a very sensitive skin.

Last menstrual period on 10/ 30/ 2007.
I’m a little nauseated and I also feel fetal moument. I’m a mom of an 8 month baby so I know how it feels, those little kicks. Can it be only my imagination? Is it to early to feel movement?

It was C-section and my wife gets much tired with breastfeeding. We tried to overcome the situation with a little bit bottle feeding. We usually use bottle once in the night because at that time it is almost next to impossible for my wife to breastfeed at 2:00 in the morning. She is quite weak but also recovering. She needs rest to recover. Baby usually demnds milk after every 2 hours.

Now the situation is.. The doctor told us not to use bottle at all, he told that we should use Spoon to feed formula if we want. We CAN NOT USE bottle with nipples but we can USE Spoon to feed the formula.

Why is that so that he is insisting so much on spoon feed and telling not to use bottle with nipples?

We tried to use spoon but my baby is not able to take enough through spoon, while with bottle he is able to feed himself properly.

Please tell us what we should do?

Regards

they are hard and feel super full but when my baby feeds he eats to the point where they feel like there is nothing left. is this because my breasts are small and can't hold much milk?

I gave birth 3 months ago. When my baby was born I actually was thinking that she would be an only child... not because of the pain - that wasn't too bad (even without meds), but because it kind of scares me what could have gone really bad during this delivery. Birth didn't go smooth at all I had to be induced and it took 3 days for that to work, after delivery I had heavy bleeding which they had a hard time stopping, at some point my contractions just stopped in the middle of pushing stage and Dr told me that if I didn't push now baby could suffocate. I know compared to others it is nothing, but the thought of what could have gone wrong still scares me alot. Well, we are all healthy and I recovered really quick. As I am not that young anymore (early 30s) I have the feeling that if we should have more than 1 then we need to have it rather soon. When were you ready to have another baby? And is it true that second and subsequent births go smoother?

My son is 10 days old and my husband and I want to change his first and middle names. We named my son after my husband and now we are just realizing how confusing it can be. We want to switch my son's middle name into his first name, and place his first name (which is also my husband's name) into his middle name. We already filled out and turned in the birth certificate application at the hospital, and it is being processed and will be mailed to us in a few weeks. How do we go about changing his name on his birth certificate and social security card? Please advise, thank you.

Here's my dilemma. Since becoming pregnant, I've gone up a cup and band size. At this point I'm willing to bet I've actually gone up 2 band sizes (given how uncomfortable wearing a bra is). I've read conflicting things- that you should bring a couple of nursing bras with you to the hospital and that your size will go up a cup and down a band once you've had the baby. So how the heck am I supposed to know what size to get now? I'm 38 weeks pregnant and will definitely breast feed. I don't want to waste money on bras that won't really fit when the baby comes, but I don't want to be unprepared either. I would assume I won't be too up to bra shopping during that first week or so after giving birth. What did you do? What worked, what didn't?

and she seems to love the whole idea of it. I went strait for using the spoon and there doesn't seem to be any problems so far besides her tongue reflexes, but that's normal. My question is when should I begin to replace more than one bottle feedings and when should I get rid of the formula feedings all together? This is my first child so I'm new at this. Please give me as much advice as possible concerning this subject.

I just wanted to hear some experiences from other mothers:
(1) Did your child get breast milk, formula, or a combination?
(2) When did your child start solids?
(3) What did you start with first (cereal, veggies, fruits)? If cereal, what did you mix it with (water, breast milk, formula)?
(4) What was the next food you tried?
(5) How many feedings did you start out with per day?
(6) What were your reasons for starting when you did, and starting with the certain food(s) you did?

Thank you for any input :)

My 6 week old breastfed baby RARELY burps, but spits up often. He is hard to put down because he spits up when you place him on his back. He recently has become very fussy and cries like he is in pain. I'm not sure what to do.
