they are hard and feel super full but when my baby feeds he eats to the point where they feel like there is nothing left. is this because my breasts are small and can't hold much milk?

breast milk is a supply and demand thing. The milk production is in line with what bubby needs. So full before to empty after is just right!!! Boob size has nothing to do with successful breast feeding. Just relax and enjoy the whole experience. Its a wonderful thing you are doing for your child.

Because your breasts are full of milk. Your breast have just enough milk to provide for your baby whether they are large or small.

No, it's because they are full of milk before he nurses. Happens to everyone, large or small. It's normal, and perfectly all right.
