Is that a Beagle in your avatar??? So cute! We have one too- he is my sidekick! CUTE!
I'd wait. You will go up again after your milk comes in. With my son, I had to get rid of the 4 bras I bought because after my milk came in, they didn't fit. I had thought I had projected correctly.
With our daughter, I used the ones I had used for him and then guesstimated. I went for bras when she was 1 week old- and she came too- in her sling. For you- wait 4 weeks for when your milk supply is more established since this is your first.
I never used bras in the hospital. It's much easier to get them latched on without one. I didn't start leaking until a few days after arriving home with her so it was not a big deal. I also did not use my own clothing in the hospital. I used the hospital gowns- as hideous as they are, it was easier and I didn't have to worry about getting blood on them.
Good luck to you and Congrats!

I bought one nursing bra before the baby was born. I bought one cup and band size bigger than I was wearing at the time and that worked out well. The bra fit (other than when I was at the worst of the engorgement) with room for breast pads.
Then I decided I hated nursing bras and now I just wear my regular ones. If I were you I would just get the one, and then go shopping (or send someone shopping for you) after the baby is born.

I went up one cup size while pregnant, and another after my milk came in. I had one nursing bra beforehand, but it ended up being too small at first after my daughter was born. It might be best to start with the soft sports bra type ones or something like Elita. I took my own measurements after my daughter was born and actually sent my husband out to get the correct size of nursing bra (it was just a larger size of the one I already had).
Do you know how to measure yourself?
Measure underneath your breasts + 5 inches = bandsize
Measure over fullest part of your breasts - each inch of difference between this measurement and the bandsize indicates a bigger size. 0" - A, 1" - B, 2" - C, 3" - D, and so on.

Get some breastfeeding sleeping or sport bras as they are stretchier, more comfortable when engorged, and fit is not as important.
Then around 6 weeks post-partum invest in some really good nursing bras. It takes at least 4 weeks for the engorgement to pass.

I went out AFTER the baby was born.
For one, it gave me time to get away for an hour (which was nice) and i was able to go shopping for other things i wanted during that sensitive time!
I would wait till after. My boobs got soo engorged... i couldn't wear a bra the first few days after my baby was born.
My boobs are like 200% bigger then they were BEFORE i got pregnant.. even towards the end of my pregnancy.
I'd wait, just so you get the best fit.

The fact is you can't know for sure till after you've had the baby. Wait till your close to you're due date and only buy a couple, then after your out of the hospital buy what you need.

I bought mine one week before I had my baby and once my milk came in they were too small. So, by my experience, I would say buy after you have your baby!
