I was breastfeeding full time until he was three months old but when I went back I was pumping during the day and breastfeeding at night. My milk has severely dropped...I only pump once a day now and I have about a total of 4 oz. Shouldn't I be on my cycle already.
I have been taking birth control pills, the one's when your breastfeeding. So I don't think I'm pregnant.

Umm if you breastfed exclusively for 3 months, then pumped during the day and breastfed at night for some time it can only really be a couple of weeks since you started pumping once a day?

Give it some time!

Also 4oz is a fair bit to get, particularly when you only pump once a day. It sounds like your supply hasn't really dropped much.

it will sometimes take a while for your body to figure it out. you have gone a long time w/o a period. if you are no longer breastfeeding and don't want to get pregnant remember to switch birth controls or use condoms. my sister stopped breastfeeding, was taking the mini pill and immediately got pg with twins.

I didn't get my period back until my first was 16 months old.

My second is almost 9 months, still no sign.

That's one of the great things about breastfeeding--fewer periods!

I breast feed for 23 months and I did not get my period until my daughter was 10 months old. I think since you are still producing milk, and it's only been one month since you stopped breast feeding, your body may just be adjusting! Not every woman who breast feeds or pumps, will stop having their period.

Maybe take a preg test!

It can actually take up to a year for some women to get her period after childbirth. My niece had a baby last December, and her period finally returned close to a year later. Totally normal.
Women who nurse might not get their period back until they've completed nursing.

It often happens when you breast feed your baby, some women (like my sis in law) wouldn't get their period as long as they are breast feed their babies, and it could take 6 months up to a year!

so have no worries and just be careful when having sex, not getting the period doesn't mean that you won't get pregnant!
