I have a 3 month old son. I don't think we should worry too much about getting him anything other then a couple small things, while she wants to go all out for him. He still cannot hold anything on his own... I would rather wait until next year to start buying things for him. What are the opinions on that subject? Should we go all out for him, or should we wait until next year? If your opinion is yes, what types of gift do you get a 3 month old child? Help me out with this delimna please?

i had to have a c section a month ago, about two weeks ago the pain was almost completely gone. now i am starting to have pain like in my stomach muscle area (not at my incision that seems to be healing fine). i know that it is common to take long recovery from a c section, but is it weird that i was feeling so much better and i am now in pain? anyone else experience this?

My 4-month old is currently on anti-biotics since she had an operation not long ago.

The anti-biotics are in a syrup form, and need to be given to her through a syringe.

However, everytime I give it to her, she spits in straight back out! I know how important it is that she swallows every bit of it, so I've tried everything from giving it to her slowly, and have even tried rubbing her throat at the same time so that she swallows it - but nothing works!

Help! What do I do? I dont want to overdose her by giving her the medication twice, so - Im clueless!?

I was wondering...I know it's cereal first, but how long do I keep giving her cereal? or how long should I wait until I introduce something new to her?
and how many times a day should I give her solids or cereal when I first start?

I am due with my 2nd child in 5 weeks. With my first child I made the mistake of rocking and letting her fall alseep on the breast then putting her down for a sleep only to have her wake in 20 mins again.

How can I put my newborn to sleep without rocking as I don't want her to get used to it again and have the same problem.

When did your newborn started to smile while awake and when did he start to laugh looking at you (like he is giving smile to you)?

My son will be 4 months old next week and that is usually when his pediatrician gives the go ahead on solids. He also shows great interest when he is around anyone eating. I know to start off with single grain cereal (rice) and to try that for a few days until moving on. I know what to watch for allergy wise. I'm just confused about when to introduce things like fruits and vegetables. I do plan on asking his pediatrician about all this, but I would like to here about personal experiences.

AT what age did your baby start to show signs of crawling?

Then how long after that did they actually crawl or scoot or whatever?

ALso, what was the sign of crawling?

I know this probably sounds stupid, but I was induced to have my baby because I had high blood pressure, so I didn't get to go into labor naturally. Then my labor lasted 23 hours and they performed a c-section in the end because I had been dilated at a 5 for 16 hours. I just feel like I missed out on the whole experience of child birth and I can't stop thinking about how these other moms (2 of my friends had their babies within 2 weeks of mine) got to experience such a magical thing and I didn't. I had my baby 8 weeks ago and I love her so much, but I feel like I didn't work very hard to deliver her (though recovery was h*ll!)
Is it normal to feel that way?

Ok. I didn't even know my mom still had sex, altho its not my business. So, I just found out she is about a month pregnant, and now my dad's always clinging to her more than he used to, asking is she ok does she need to go to the bathroom, does she feel pain, etc. It's annoying and I'm 12 and don't want a freaken baby. My dad always kisses her and stuff and its annoying. I don't like it. Why is my dad like this? Whats the future going to be like? Where will I probably be on the nite of baby being born night? Thanks!! Hjope you kan answer thanks!

Ok I know i have been mean to formula feeding moms out there in the past and I am sorry because I didnt realise that sometimes it is too painful to go on anymore.
But Illyana has been biting me and I really do not feel I can feed anymore.
What is the best brand of formula to use.
I am aware most of you will attack me but i do not care as long as you can give an answer in the same question

Ok, so I am mainly asking the price of diapers that are at walmart. I need a newborn size and a premie size.I do not care if they are genaric or not. I would like to know the price for them because the website does not offer diaper prices. If someone could tell me this that would be great, also the diaper pack should be 90-100 diapers(more if offered). Thanks!!!

Hi, my baby will be 4 weeks old this Tuesday. He is a healthy full term baby. He grunts all of the time. Has anyone experienced that? I know he has a lot of gas (i hear it!) but i don't think he is constipated because he has a lot of dirty diapers. He is being breastfed exclusively. The pediatrician told me not to worry about it but I worry anyway. I wonder if he can hurt his throat? He sounds like a goat (haha!). Thanks!

What are the VISIBLE differences in ultrasound pictures of a fetus that's 10w3d and one that is 15w5d?? Are there big differences??? At ten weeks doesn't the baby just look like a little gummy bear bouncing around with litttle buds for arms and legs and a 15 week old fetus nearly completely visibly formed? Aren't you able to determine the sex near to 15 weeks??? Thank you soooo much in advance for taking the time to answer my question, it's really important!!!

He hates it so much that everytime he is swaddled, he screams bloody murder until we at least let one arm loose. He ususally uses that arm to lay either over his head or straight up like he's stretching. I am deathly afraid of SIDS. What can I do to get him swaddled without that discomfort that he feels. I know its more important to swaddle than to worry about his discomfort but we have tried to let him cry it out, and it literally can go on for hours. Please HELP!!!!

my son is 7 weeks old and hates to be put down. i have tried two different types of chairs, a moses basket, tried to swaddle him and tried a play mat but still no joy. A dummy helps for a while, i have no problem with holding him all day in fact its lovely but i am worried the more i do the more clingy he will get. He is also in bed with us as he just scream and sceams in his moses basket. Has anyone else had this and do they grow out of it or has holding a baby all day made problem in the long run.

Yesterday, my 2 year old son was having some homemade macaroni and cheese made with milk and cheese of course. I gave about 5 macaroni noodles to my 7 month old. The noodles hardly had any sauce on them and she only had 5 noodles. Anyway, about 2 hours later she started getting hives. She still has the hives today. It flares up and goes away throughout the day. I am 100% positive they are hives because I often get terrible hives. My question is how long could her allergic reaction continue. I have yet to give her baby benadryl I was waiting it out to see if it would clear up on its own since I try to avoid medication at all costs. Would such a small amount of milk really cause such a reaction? She eats cheese without any problems. I also get hives from milk but usually only if I drink a whole glass of it. The hives clear up after a few hours though. Could it be a virus she picked up? She seems happy and normal but the hives are still sticking around. When will it be out of her system?

i want to give my son the name
goerge-pausanias

that means
''the farmer'' => (goerge)
''who can stop the sorrow'' => (pausanias)

i know that goerge is not a strong name but it is easy
pausanias is difficult but it has a nice meaning

what do you think about?
