My son's pediatrician told me I could start giving my 2 month old a tiny bit of juice if he is acting like he is starving between feedings. He is in the 55th percentile in weight and we don't want him to get too fat. He was 6-11 when he was born, 6-3 when we came home from the hospital, 6-10 3 days later, 9-3 a month later, and now 12-3. What do you think about the juice and when did you start giving juice to your children. I have gerber juice and I am diluting it.

I was wondering if I boiled water in the morning, could I store it in a plastic water pitcher with the lid on, and keep it out on the counter in my kitchen all day? This way when I go to make the bottles of formula the water will be at room temp. already. Please let me know if it's safe or not, and why it would not be.

I'm babysitting my one-year-old nephew, but I'm unsure of how long to let him nap. When having a child nap, do you wake them up after a certain period of time, or do you let them wake up on their own? Typically how long should a one-year-old nap during the day?

We have a 5 month old son who we absolutely adore. My wife has decided to stay at home with our baby whilst he is still young, and we had intended on having a 2 - 3 year age gap as we are both only mid twenties. However, now we are thinking about her returning to work we are re-considering having two closer together so she can just take a career break and re-start rather than going back for 6 months - a year and then stopping again. What are other peoples experiences or what do people think?

my insurance will pay for a hospital grade breast pump but I can't find anyone who will sell me one. I can not afford to pay up front for one and have to find someone who will bill my insurance. Because I have a preemie it must be hospital grade. I have contacted the hospital and medical supply companies the lactation consultant, trust me everyone. Does anyone know where I can get one?

My 11 month old wakes up for every 2 hrs in the night, I have set up a schedule for him and usually put him to bed by about 9.30 p.m. I feed him solids by about 7.00 p.m give him a bottle of water and some formula. I then bathe him so that he gets good sleep through the night but he wakes up every two hours for his feed. I have been trying to increase the interval between two feeds tried to put him back to sleep by patting him & rocking him but that doesn't seem to work. He stays awake till the time i feed him must be even for 3 to 4 hrs. I also tried adding some cereal to his feed just to make him feel full but he refuses to take the feed if diluted or modified and stays up all the while till the time he is fed. I
discussed this with his paediatrician but he doesn't seem to take it that seriously and just tells me that he can't say why he wakes up every two hours. Is there anything more that i can try so that he sleeps through the night awaiting for your valuable suggestions

It's our second day and I cant bear to see him cry so long. Does anyone have any other alternatives or ways to get him his medicine without feeling like im torturing him.
