Im supossed to tell the teacher how many days i want it. I got 2 pick any amount of days between 7 - 14 days.

This is to help you understand how hard parenting a newborn can be. Its not supposed to be fun. Its supposed to make you think hard before having sex in high school. I think a week will be plenty to give you an idea of newborn care. I know its just a plastic doll, but it might help you figure out if and when you want kids. This experience will give you a taste of parenting.

I did this in school and no, it is not fun. It's not suposed to be. It's suposed to show you how much work infants are (which it falls very short of) so that you don't go off and get pregnant and think its a piece of cake. DOH! *smacks forehead* Yes, yes... It's TOTALLY fun. Please tell you teacher you would like the doll for 2 weeks, beg for 3 even! Loads of fun! Fun abounding! The thing NEVER cries... *hopes she was convincing*

I did this program when I was in school myself. If I were you I would tell your teacher you want it for 2 weeks. It will give you more of an idea of what it's like to take care of a baby. While babies are cute they are work. Maybe if they would make the program mandatory for teenage girls more teenage girls would think twice before having unprotected sex.

I don't think the point is for it to be fun. Is it fun for a baby to wake you up in the middle of the night screaming? I have to be honest with you, though. When it is your own baby, you (should) feel a love that overpowers the sleepiness.
