Basically, how long will my breasts be engorged, and warm? a few days? weeks? I know it may just "depend on how my baby eats" but how long was it for you? I just want an average

My daughter is 11months old. She has a bacterial eye infection that is being treated with drops and an ear infection being treated with antibiotics. We caught it right away so she is on the mend. Her eyes look 100% better already. She's been on medication for it for about 1 1/2 days. My questions is: she used to be able to sooth herself to slepp, I would put her in her bed with her soother and the music mobil on and no fuss no muss she was sleeping! Now she just wants me to hold her and I understand she's sick and as a mom I pick her up and cradle her till she falls asleep (I can't handle my sick baby crying). And she keeps waking up all hours of the night to be soothed by me and she used to sleep all night long. But I'm afraid that when she gets better I have to teach her to sooth herself all over again.
What do you think?

It's the only way to get him to stop cring. he does not seem to like his swing or bouncy seat too much. the only time he'll lay down by his self is when he is ready to sleep at night. i don't want to spoil him. But I refuse to let him 'cry it out' i have tried it and 'neither' of us liked it. I am a stay at home mom so it's not like he CAN'T be held all the time, I would just like a break once or twice a day :) ,

What do I do! I am so scared! I will not be able to bring her home and I will have to drive to a city 40 miles away every day to see her! I can't sleep thinking about it! Has someone else gone through the pain of not bringing you baby home right away!?!

woke up with diahrea (sp) on Monday and I thought maybe it had to do with me introducing juice to her on Sunday, she just turned 7 mo. old yesterday and just now her 1st tooth is coming in, now her diahrea is very bad (almost every 30 minutes I am changing her). She has a horrible diaper rash and cries every time I change her and she has not been eating well. My girl usually downs 2 gerbers and 2 8oz bottles every feeding and now she is barely drinking 1/2 a bottle.......I don't know what to do with her diahrea, my doc told me to just keep feeding her her formula and to use petrolium jelly for her rash.......but how can i feed her if she doesn't want to drink her bottles? I tried Pedialyte also and she doesn't really like it, she drinks less of that than her formula. What happens if she gets dehydrated and i am not aware? I am just really worried since my 1st child never had this problem, his first tooth was fully out before I ever knew.........he never fussed or was sick :(

of sids.and thats the ages when most babys have there dtp shot,i mean it seems a little strange to me that here you have a very healty baby and they get shots, and soon after they die,and it is said to be sids.also there was this woman who checked babys death records, and a lot of these babys (not all) just had some kind of vaccine,

From the time my son was about two weeks old he has been fussy while eating. We had him on Similac to start with and the doctor prescribed Pepcid for him...thinking he may have acid reflux. The Pepcid seemed to work for a couple weeks then he started getting fussy at the bottle again. He is not fussy between feedings, just while he is eating he grunts and thrashes his head around and pushes the bottle away. He then will sometimes scream murder if you keep trying to feed him. He typically eats two ounces well, but will start crying and fussing after that. I try to burp him often, but that does not seem to help. He actually eats better during the night after he's been sleeping and doesn't seem to have the same problem. We have tried Soy and increasing the Pepcid dosage, which both seemed to work for a couple weeks and then everything came back. Does anyone have any suggestions? I would greatly appreciate any ideas. Thanks!!!

I just got an invite to a baby shower for my sister from my sister in law... now.. this is the way I think.. I have 2 kids.. 17 months apart.. I think it is tacky to throw someone a baby shower on their second baby.. that is looking for freebies.. unless.. unless.. the first child is significantly older.. like this is starting a second time around.. but a woman with a 2 year old, in my opinion, does not get another baby shower.. I think that is tacky.. even if it is my sister.. we are all gonna buy something for the baby anyhow when it is born.. I am not going to the shower.. they already make good money and I do not.. input please..
