Mine was like shreds of pink and off-white, very thick mucus that came out over the course of about a week. I wasn't even sure that was it. The pieces were very small and very thick, like the consistency of that glue they use to stick labels on brand new cooking pans.

You don't feel it and most times unless a woman loses hers all in one big clump, she won't even notice the little pieces or she will just think it is extra discharge. With my first, I didn't know I lost it, and with this one, I got one big clump of really thick white discharge and some little pieces afterwards!

Most of the time you wont even notice that you have lost it. If you do happen to loose it at the time when you are going to the bathroom, you may notice it. It will look and feel like a thick discharge.

I noticed mine all three times:
the first time it came out about twelve hours before I gave birth, about a tablespoon of mucous with a drop of blood, it came out in my first pee of the day.
second preg it came out ten weeks before baby! I had just had a long walk and it came out looking firmer, like a plug shape and with a dangly string and a dot of blood (ick, sorry).
third preg. it came out in the beginning of labour and was much like the first. If you're getting close to due date it can be helpful to check for it quickly when you pee, as it can be the first sign of labour starting, even before contractions.

When I lost mine it looked clear and thick.Mine started breaking at 6 months.
It is very normal. If you see blood then usually you will start going into labor within 48 hours.Good Luck!

If you are losing it piece by piece you most likely won't even notice it.

When I had my daughter, I lost mine all at once. It was like a massive snot coming out of the vagina. Sounds gross, but very true :)
