Ok mom, here is some older mother advice. First off , never give a child with diarrhea milk or any kind of dairy. It only exacerbates the problem. Lay off the juice ( which could have been the cause combined with the teething) and give the baby water or pediatlyte for the next several hours. If she is hungry or thirsty enough she will drink, as long as she is getting something down, you may have to give it to her with a larger medicine dropper, but get some in there. If she is does not have a fever or lethargic, I would let this all go until late tomorrow afternoon ( on pedialyte only) If it continues then I would suggest seeing the doctor. Also, while there, if your baby is drinking 2 8 oz bottles every feeding, then her formula or whatever she is taking in the bottle is not enough for her so discuss this with him.Good luck
P.S. the rash, do not use any perfumed lotions or powders. A triple antibiotic ointment, even wal-mart brand is ok, A&D ointment is great. Once the diarehea subsides , let her crawl around with nothing on the bottom. Air will work wonders.

I'm not a doctor, but keep her closely monitored and if it's like this by Monday morning, I'd take her in. It could very well be her teeth. My daughter is 18 months old, and still doesn't have very many teeth and she just got a bad rash and is pooping quite a bit. In the beginning though it was almost the same way. Just remember too that as long as you're getting some liquid in her that's the best you can do. The Petrolium jelly worked wonders for my daughter. I was stricly a powder and Butt Paste Mom, but since I switched to that, she hasn't had any rashes. Also make sure her diaper isn't getting too tight. A tight diper can cause a rash too.

all the above advice is good. the way to normally tell if it a virus or teething is teperature. If she gets a temp,I would get her to the doctor. It often gets worse before it gets better.
keep trying the pedalyte,if you can get 50ml an hour into her you will be doing well. She may not like the iceblocs at 7 months but worth a try, crush it into a bowl and feed it on a spoon,it will help soothe her gums also.
Doctors say that teething doesn't cause diareah.........most mothers would beg to differ. the bubs tend to swallow more, and produce more stomach acid, which speeds up digestion.
try jelly, not custard or yogurt as milk product will not help the diarreah. baby paracetamol will help the pain of teething and the painfull bummy. In australia there is a cream called viaform which is excellent for this type of nappy rash, it is antifungal, antibiotic and soothing. I'm sure a similar cream would be available there.even cannesten thrush cream will soothe and prevent thrush, which is very common with teething nappy rash.(it's so moist) If bub is having 50ml of pedylite an hour, producing tears,he should not be dehydrated.if he becomes lethargic it is important to get him to the hospital for fluid replacement.
when you do start the bottles again, start with a quarter strenth for a day then half ,if diareah persists get a stool test done for lactose intolerance, sometimes this happens after a bad bout of diarreah.Good luck, he will soon be fine and happy again.

She probably just has diahrea due to the teething, some babies are very sensitive to teething and this can cause them to not want to eat or drink much. My daughter did the same thing, all I did was get a wash cloth and wet the end in cold water, put it on my finger and let her chew on it. This helped to soothe her. Then I just made sure she was getting pedialyte so that she wasn't dehydrated and she broke the tooth in the next day and everything was back to normal. Sometimes they just need to be comforted. Although there really isn't much you can do just try to let her know that you are there for her. For the diaper rash, the best thing is A&D ointment. This stuff is awesome.

All i know is, a fever and diahrea often happen when a child teethes. you should cut back on the juice though, her digestive system may not be ready for it. my daughter couldnt tolerate anything but my milk for 10 months, now shes 2 and can eat anything. the ammount of juice you are giving her sounds excessive. it shouldnt be at every feeding. when you DO give her juice, it should be 1/2 water until she is a year old. if you become concerned that your child is dehydrated, take her to urgent care, and they will give her an IV if need be. Also, dont use baby wipes! They really hurt. I grabbed one to wipe my poor raw nose once when I had a cold, and it really burned! Use a warm washcloth instead.

if you are worried about dehydrating, and she won't drink then there are a couple of things you can give her.
You can give her ice blocks, jelly, yoghurt, custard, these are all considered fluids, and kids love them. It keeps them hydrated and gives them somthing they like. Remember you will know when she is dehydrated because she becomes really lithargic.
Instead of nappy rash try using cornflour, because it helps dry out her bottom. sounds strange, but my grandmother put me on it and it works. Because it isn't wet it actually helps. And if you can try not to have a nappy on her, and give her sore bottom a bit of a rest. I know more work for you, try training pants.
You could also try giving her some pain relief for the tooth coming through, and a really good teething gel. I am in Australia and got hold of SM-33, it comes in a small tube and is completely herbal. Worked great for my kids. The cold treats i mentioned above will also help with her sore mouth.
I wouldn't stress too much, she will eat when she is hungry, at the moment it is probably just a little bit too sore. Once you can get the pain relief right, she might be ready, otherwise don't stress if she doesn't, she will eventually.

Dehydration is a very real concern if she is going every 30 mins. Try a lukewarm bath to soothe her rear. Try Pedialyte Popsicles. My kids love them! Also maybe some ginger ale cut with water. She may have a stomach bug; all kids get teeth with different symptoms. If your daughter starts to become dehydrated, she will be lethargic and her skin will lose some elasticity. Good luck. Once the diarrhea subsides, have her go without a diaper a few times a day and the rash will clear up fast.

First let me say that I have 5 children. None of them are the same. Your new baby is not going to be anything like your first one! But, it sounds to me like you are starting to see that already. Second, I would suggest that you don't use baby wipes when you are changing your baby. Maybe you could stick her in a warm tub to clean her off. I know this seems like a chore, because she is pooping every 30 minutes, but with parenthood, we have to go above and beyond our call or duty! :)
Also, call your local hospital and ask if they have a nurse hotline. My local hospital has a nurse hotline where I can call and get advice and talk to someone about my medical concerns. I really love my pediatrician, I can also call his office (during normal hours) and talk to his nurse if I have further concerns. There is a way that you can tell if your baby is dehydrated, but I really don't recall all the details. Ask your ped's nurse. It was something about touching the skin with your finger? I can't remember, my youngest is now 4! Also, one last thing. A book that really helped me through the first years was called Caring for Your Baby and Young Child: Birth to Age 5
This is a very handy resource and I highly recommend it! Here is a link under sources to the book at Barnes and Noble.com

I highly recommend for the rash to go to Walmart and get tripple antibiotic ointment. Its like 3 dollars and works like a charm. My son had a horrible rash and my doctor told me to get destine, well that made it ten times worse so I got the ointment and it cleared up completely by the second day. As for the diarrhea and not eating, it may be the tooth. Each child is very different. Try to continue feeding her formula but do not force it. If she doesn't eat try getting her some pedialite juice. Hope this helps!

You aren't over reacting, your baby is sick...it is scary.
As long as she is keeping some fluid in, that's good. If she has wet diapers every few hours, and can produce tears she is ok. The inside of her mouth should feel wet...if not, get her to the hospital.
If she won't drink at all, you need to get her in for hydration. It maybe the nora or Rota virus that is going around like wildfire.....the virus itself is not life threatening, but dehydration is!
Try putting Mylanta or some form of liquid antacid on her bottom....she is raw from stomach acid in her stools...I know it sounds really strange, but it will work and my doctor suggested it. Also DO NOT USE WIPES...they have alcohol and sting like HELL!
By the way, juice has very little nutritional value....it is mostly just sugar....we didn't even give my son any until he was like two.....it has been linked to obesity in children, tooth decay, and serves no purpose.
If you're in doubt, get your child to the hospital...they've seen more protective people than you!
