Those links you provided were extremely interesting. I was totally sold on vaccines being important and vital to a person's health. I am really, really upset and can't believe what a horrible world it has become. It's all about money.
I got my baby vaccinated at all the right times and even had him (and us) get the flu shot. I feel terrible knowing that I probably caused him harm!
What can we do? Everyday I think of all the things that are killing us slowly, pesticides, air pollution, chemicals in everything we use, etc, etc, etc. It is just totally overwhelming. I don't think the human race can win this battle against itself.

I read somewhere, and it's been a while ago so I can't remember the article, that SOME of the SIDS deaths were caused by cold/pain medicine. Basically what the article stated was that even with the prescribed dosage on the label, the actual amount can be fatal. The ingredients in those meds take the pain and discomfort away, and slow the heartbeat down to such a degree that the baby stops breathing and passes. This could be attributed to the vaccinations, as a lot of pediatrics prescribe some form of motrin or other medication when baby is being vaccinated. Moral of the story: don't give your child anything unless you truly feel they need it!!

Yeah, I found out those shocking statistics after my 5 month old (1 week from being 5 months) died of SIDS. She died seven days after having her shots and from the information I found 87% of babies that have died of SIDS died within 2 weeks of getting their 2, 4, or 6 month shots. It is very disturbing so with my next two I changed the way their shots were given. They only recieved one shot up until they were 12 months old and no DPT shot until they were 16 months. My doctor was all for it and said if she were me she would do the exact same thing. She said even though there is nothing that 100% says that is what caused those babies to die there is also nothing 100% that says it did not especially since they do not know what causes SIDS. I also read that a few years back in Japan they starting giving the DPT shot at 2 years instead of 2, 4, and 6 months and the SIDS rate dramatically decreased. They were forced several years later to go back to the origninal 2, 4, and 6 months and the SIDS rate went back up. I went back to school right after we lost out daughter and worked in a doctor's office for many years and saw a lot of disturbing things happen to babies right after shots. One mother put her baby in the car seat and then sat the car seat down to pay her copay and when she bent down to get the baby it had stopped breathing. I've seen babies go into convulsions, etc. It is scary. People need to realize that this stupid schedule they have out now was designed by insurance companies not the AAMA or anyone else. My aunt works for Aetna and told me this after my daughter died. Having 4 shots in one visit at 2, 4, and 6 months old cuts down on a lot of hassle for the insurance companies. If you will notice that if you go to a free clinic they do them one at a time. You do not have to follow that schedule. I didn't and my the age of two my daughter was right where she would have been if I would have followed it. It makes no difference. 4 to 6 months is when the biggest number of SIDS incidents happens. Go to any web site and it will tell you that plus I've done my research on the subject since my daughter died. My daughter also was given no pain medication after her shots. And working in the medical field I can also tell you that the manufacturer of the DPT shot used to put right on the little handout of info they give you about the shot that it has been linked to SIDS and one of the adverse reactions to this shot is episodes of apnea and hypopnea. They stopped putting that on the handout when people stopped allowing their children to have the vaccine. They were losing money so they took it off, how ethical is that???

I don't think that SIDS is associated with a vaccine. These may be mere coincidences. I have 5 children and none of them died (Thank God) from any of their much needed vaccinations. I think SIDS has something to do with attachement/reactive disorder. Secure attachment establishes the basis on which the child will form relationships with others; his sense of security about exploring the world; his resilience to stress; his ability to balance his emotions, make sense of his life, and create meaningful interpersonal relationships in the future.

I don't think so they would have caught on to this along time ago. And they would have done studies on this too. Most sids happens very early too. I have not heard of 4-6 months.
