Growth spurts commonly occur around the following ages:

- the first few days at home
- around 7-10 days
- 2-3 weeks
- 4-6 weeks
- 3 months
- 4 months
- 6 months
- 9 months
- one year

They usually last about 2-4 days. If you're nursing, you may find that baby wants to constantly nurse during this time period. Just follow baby's lead and he will boost your supply to meet his new needs.

It's called: " growing spurts". It's a phase in human development that is characteristic of the earlier years in life... growth cycle ... its somewhat predictable from studies
