Hi
My 8 week old still feeds REALLY often during the day like every 2 hours and this then makes it hard for me to put her to sleep. (because i seem to be trying to put her to sleep so often as a result of feeding her so often), she seems to be a really light sleeper and if i move her to car seat, pram etc she wakes up, henceforth i try not to go out. when do they start to have say 3-4 hours between feeds or does this just not happen with a breastfed baby? i have an 18 month old toddler as well so i can't even sleep when the baby sleeps to try and catch up!! i stopped breast feeding him at 4 months (and cried and cried as a result - felt like a failure yaddi yaddah but that's another story). I would like to try and keep feeding my girl for as long as possible but perhaps i'm just not physically made for it . I'm very lean and no matter what i eat can't gain weight, perhaps this affects my ability to feed???

my boyfriend just had a baby by his now ex about 2 weeks ago and ever since then so many things have changed, i expected a few things to change, but not the way he treated me. He treats me so differnetly now we fight just about every day he doesnt call me any of those cute little nicknames he used to call me and he doesnt say he love me like he used to..it just doesnt sound the same he used to call me back after just hanging up just to hear my voice one more time before he went to sleep, but its not at all like that anymore..he shows me no affection at all. i feel like i've become last since his baby has gotta here, and like i really don't matter anymore. i know once you have a child that baby becomes first in your life before anything, but is that an excuse on him acting like this towards me? and why do you think he acts like this now what should i say to him to voice how i feel?

Both of my son's ( 5 years old and now the six month old) were on Nutramigen formula. Both supposedly for milk allergy and for GERD (acid reflux) But being on the formula did nothing to improve the vomitting accociated with these conditions. We quit giving the 6 month old the Nutramigen and put him back on a milk based formula.( the five year old was never changed back to anything when he was an infant). He ( the six month old) is doing excellent now. I think the Nutramigen was causing more harm than good. It's nasty ( it's basically oil and water and really stinks) and way overpriced. Any opinions or will someone else share thier experiance with this??????

he is 4 months old he is not hunger, tired, wet, we thought it might be colic but were not sure anymore and the doctor is doing tests but I don't think he knows either. here are some symtoms that he has had since birth
non stop crying (we thought colic)
moving his hand by his ear (we thought infection)
soft to watery stolls
spitting up (he has been on every formula theres no more to try)
he is very alert but I think he has somewhat of a dazed look
the doctor has said that he can tell that the baby is in bad pain but no one can pinpoint the pain if anyone has any ideas please let me know.
the doctor said he has GERD and a virus in his blood also

My daughter is 6 1/2 weeks old and she wakes up at night every 2 1/2 - 3 hours. She was 7 lbs 1 oz when she was born and now she is 12 lbs!!! She is getting so big! I gave up breastfeeding after 2 weeks, so she has been on formula. Online it says that every baby is different, but what are the signs that she needs it?? She has been eating a lot (3-4 onces every 2 1/2 - 3 hrs). Can I give it to her now? I spoke with another mom at the store and she told me that she started her son on it at 3 weeks. Please if anyone has any advice....

My 5 week old daughter sleeps perfectly at night time, only waking a couple of times for a feed.... but she won't sleep during the day! She wakes up around 8.00am, and if I'm really lucky she will have a very restless sleep for around 45minutes at around 11.00am. She then wants to be up pretty much all day from there! What can I do! I know that overtired babies don't sleep well, but she won't let me put her down even when she's not overtired!

My 11 month old son has a really bad diaper rash. I called a doctor but he wasn't very informative. But he has blisters and a little bit of bleeding all over his bottom and little boy area, and it hurts him to have to go to the bathroom. We've tried a couple creams and nothing really seems to be working. Does anyone know of anything that works fast and relieves pain???

if you areanswering this question you probably already answer the ones i posted a couple of minutes ago. my question now or my issue is that my 26 day old baby seems to eat so much he is breast feeding for 20 minutes and drinking 3 oz of formula everytime he eats i thought it could be a growth spour ( sorry if misspelled) but he has been eating like this for the past two weeks, i'm worried because i dont know if maybe i'm over feeding him or i' not recognising the difference between hes needs to suck and hunger, please tell me how much food did you feed your baby at this age, and when can i start increasing the amount of formula, i should also tell you that he eats every 3 h ours on the clock !!
