I have tried drinking lots of water, nursing more often, drinking "Mother's milk tea" and taking and herbal supplement called Fenugreek. Is there anything else I can do? My son is only 2 1/2 months old, and wanted to keep breastfeeding as long as I possibly can. Is there a prescription medicine that I can take?

I like soft colors like pastels for baby room, but lately I have been seeing dark colors like jewel tones. I really like disney characters, but they are dark colors and I don't like that. Can anyone tell me if there are some baby bedding over the internet with soft colors?

What in your opinion was the best book that you read to help you through letting your baby cry it out? I'm looking for a book to read to help my son take better naps and sleep better at night. He's 7 months old. I need the name of the book and the author, thanks very much!

My son can pretty much support himself sitting with 1 small blanket infront of him to keep him from hitting his face on the plastic. He loves it actually he cant play with the toys yet but everytime we show him what to do he tries to.

I am currently nursing my 10.5 month old son, and am thinking about giving him some whole milk in the near future and am trying to do some reading up on it, and would like some advise from people who have done the switch from breast to whole milk. Did you use a sippy cup ? and was this just given at meal time or a sippy cup used as a whole feed (before nap, or bedtime)
If you used a bottle, how/when did you loose the bottle ?

My son does drink from a bottle only once a day already, but if it's a hard habit to break, don't really want to go down that road...ANd he does know how to drink from a sippy cup as well. THANKS !

i have a 10 - week old baby girl, she usually take 3-4 oz during each feeding in every 4 hours, but some people told me that's not enough for a 10 week old baby girl, she should take 5 - 6 oz during each feeding, is that true? This is first time for me to be mom.

I'm currently pumping (manually) but its hard because of my 11 hour schedual and its tiresome to use my manual pump. (I'm getting an electric one soon) but I feel since i'm not breastfeeding as often I feel my supply decreasing is there anything I can take (tea, supplements) to increase my milk supply ?

I got the cotton crib sheets that match the baby's nursery set. I have washed them 2 times with Dreft on warm wash/ cold rinse and gentle tumble dry - but they still aren't soft and comfy. I know you are not supposed to use fabric softener because it can be irritating to newborn skin.... does anyone know what I can do to softren up these sheets?

When Lillian (my now 6 1/2-month old girl) was two months old, she started sleeping through the night. This continued until she was about 4 &1/2 to 5 months old. She then started a growth spurt. Since then she has gained at least ten to fifteen pounds and grown at least five or six inches. The problem is this: she's ravenous, especially at night. When we first started feeding her food, she often could not finish an entire serving, whether it was the gerber tupperware tubs or the beechnut jars. Now, she routinely eats one for breakfast and one for dinner, and sometimes one for lunch as well. However, at night, she wakes up hungry at least three times, if not more. While we have tried not to let her associate sleeping with eating, the truth is she's just too hungry to sleep. Is there any food that will stay in a baby's stomach all night long? It's to the point where I am half-tempted to put biter biscuits and rice cereal in a blender!

Do me a huge favor please...?
Go to http://www.cardwayscontest.com/vote.php?... and vote for my little girl. She is the first baby on the right hand side. She is wearing a pink dress and pink bow, and is asleep in my hand. Someone keeps on voting her down to be mean. You are only allowed to vote for one baby a day, any more and it decreases your score. Someone is voting for her over and over so they will win, grrrrrr........... Thanks in advance for your help.

My wife is expecting in February and our baby is lying with her bum down. Our doctor's advise to get the baby to turn on her own is (1) for my wife to curl with her knees up for 15 minutes per day and (2) to play a transistor radio in the lower belly to encourage the baby to rotate. Any other advise?

My daugter was one week on Tuesday. When we were in the hospital, she was nursing like a champ, but since we've come home, it has really been a chore for the both of us. I want to breastfeed this baby, but here are my issues. First, she sleeps a lot. I wake her for her feedings, but that begins 2 hours of crying, that I think has more to do with her being tired than hungry. After the 2 hour cry session, where I continually try to get her to latch on, she will latch finally, and nurse from anywhere between 20 - 30 minutes. I don't dare change breasts, because it's so hard to get her to latch in the first place. That creates the problem that I always have one breast that is full and has a burning sensation. Yesterday, she fed twice all day. Finally last night, I pumped my milk, and bottle fed her. I can't stand to think that she's not eating enough. Any advice to get us back on the breastfeeding track would really help. We went to the lactation support @ the hospital once already

Hello,
I have a 11 week old baby and am confused about his sleep habit. I live in US and am currently on vacation in India. I came to India 10 days ago. While in the US my baby used to hardly sleep during the day....and even when he did sleep he was a very light sleeper.

Now in India he is sleeping like a log. I am not complainig but am confused. First I thought it's jet lag...India is 10 hours ahead of US...so practically day and night difference. But I feel that this isnt even jet lag....he sleeps for a stretch of 5-6 hours during the day and sometimes in such deep sleep that he wont wake up even if I try. Maybe its the change in weather? I calcuated the time he sleeps in India and it's not night in US...so he isnt sleeping his night sleep.

For the past 2-3 days he sleeps around 3.30 pm and wakes up around 9 pm. Although it's great....I feel that should I wake him up so he sleeps better at night? He did sleep once at night around 11 pm for 5 straight hours. I am confused.
