************you need to take him to a doctor.***********
* First off if you can not get fluids down him he can become dehydrated.
* Milk and solid food will agatate his stomach if he dose have a stomach flu
* try spooning water or pedialyte to him to help him hold down some fluids.
* if he stops being active, like not crying when he hurts and just begins to lay limp it is V E R Y - I M P O R T A N T to take him to the ER these are symptoms of dehydration. Once a body becomes dehydrated their temperature will climb and their organs begin to shut down.
**My youngest daughter got a virus when she was 8 months she was hospitalized for 2 weeks because of it. Dehydration is a scary thing. We could not get her to hold down anything on her own. so an IV was needed.
P.S. Stay calm and dont panic, everything will be fine. even though it is a serious issue there is no reason to rush in the hospital like he has only minutes of life left. be prepared for a long stay take lots of water blankets and baby wipes. maybe even a change of cloths for you in case he throws up on you. as long as he is not dehydrated you hae nothing to worry about but only a doctor can tell you if he is or not with the proper test.

When your child is throwing up and/or having diarrhea, the most important thing to do is to have enough fluids that he doesn't get dehydrated. Do not worry about food for now, while he is throwing up. But keep pushing fluids like water and milk. If he is not getting any fluids down, I would phone the pediatrician by the end of the day. If he is otherwise taking in fluids, wait until tomorrow morning and see if he starts to feel better. If not, take him to the doctor.

I've tried many diets and couldn't make anything work. Since having my first child, I've been carrying around an extra 30 pounds. This diet just made sense and showed me that everything I was doing before was wrong and a waste of my time.
The plan was so refreshing and so simple to follow. I did everything plan said and lost 23 pounds in the first three weeks. I'm now starting the diet again to lose 7 more pounds. This plan has changed my life.
Get started today!

Everyone answering is making some very good points. Better than a couple of weeks ago when a bunch of stupid people who thought they were too smart to suggest taking their kid to the doctor. Dehydration should be your biggest concern. Gatorade is good but pedialyte is much better due to the electrolytes in it. If your child won't drink it try to freeze it or by the pops. I would consult a physician immediately. It is probably just a bug that's going around but these things can get out of had very quickly. God Bless You.

Babies don't dehydrate as fast as people think they do. I have 3 children, so I have had this problem a couple of times. I suggest the B.R.A.T. diet. Feed him bananas, rice, applesause, and toast, these are dry and easy foods to diguest. If it is a virus, there really isn't much a doc can do. If he is still active, I wouldn't worry too much. Good luck, hope he feels better soon.

Call the doctor. Stop any type of milk products if all the baby is doing is vomiting. Try some pedialyte or even water. The baby may become dehydrated very quickly if you do not seek attention.

Go to the all night chemist and get some gastrolyte. They are rehydration fluids. You can buy them in plastic tubes separately or about $20.00 for 12.00. Take baby in with you, maybe the pharmacist can offer a cheaper solution. Don't stuff around though, baby is little and dehydrates real quick. Ring an ambulance if you're flat broke, on pension, etc.. They'll come post haste, you're covered for ambo on pension card and besides you'll get priority treatment. Now move it!! Let us know how bub is. Good luck.......:)

Call the doctor or go to an emergency room. If he gets dehydrated that can be very serious for infants. They might need to put him on IV fluids.
In the meantime you might try feeding him Pedialyte (equivalent to gator-aid for babies).

Call your pediatrician and buy some Pedialyte for him to drink. Milk (formula) is probably not gonna help him much and may make him sicker. Just give the pedialyte as it helps him to retain liquids in his body.
