i have a 10 - week old baby girl, she usually take 3-4 oz during each feeding in every 4 hours, but some people told me that's not enough for a 10 week old baby girl, she should take 5 - 6 oz during each feeding, is that true? This is first time for me to be mom.

I agree with Sheila, there is no right and wrong when it comes to this kind of stuff. All babies grow at a differant rate. But as long as she has plenty of wet and poopy diapers, I'm sure she is fine. If you are still worried about it you can always give your pediatrician a call and run it by them. It always makes me fell better to hear it from a trained professional. Good Luck!

There is no "set" amount for a baby of any age. They go through growth spurts and sometimes eat more or less than "normal" Really it is what is normal for your child. I found a really good book that has recommendations for how much a baby of any age/weight should be eating. It is called The Baby Whisperer solves all your problems by teaching you how to ask the right questions. It was a great resource to me. We as first time parents are just learning just as much as the little ones we have. As long as your pediatrician says your daughter is eating enough and gaining weight and having the right number or wet and poopy diapers(about 8-10/day). There should be no question as to how much she is eating. I hope this has been helpful. Good luck!

There is no right amount, every baby is different.

Is she growing?

How many wet diapers and how many poopy diapers? If she is having at least one or two poops a day, and at leasy 8 wet diapers, she is getting enough.
