didnt see the previous question, but the main thing, is how old is he, does he have teeth? my daughter started on baby food at 4 months, because she had 4 teeth and seemed to need it,,, and i started cereal at the recommendation of her dr,,,,,,, each child is different, its always best to ere on the side of caution, when introducing new foods, at same time, my family fed me baby food cereal at two weeks old, lol, but yet i have survived (those are the same parents that left me in a crib all day, watching tv lol )
its recommended that most babies have no food, until 6 months old, then introduce one thing at a time

I would say the cereal is fine, but I would stop the first stage baby food. Babies digestive systems are not ready for the first stage food till at least 4 mos and most doctors tell you to wait til 5 mos for fruit and 6 mos for veggie

yes in many different cultures many babies start eatin first stage baby food in a early age. There is nothing worng with eating first stage baby food as long as the food isnt too big for the baby.

Bad idea! Even though he loves it, his system isn't ready to digest solids yet. People debate how soon to give a baby cereal, but I don't think anyone would recommend giving an 8-week old cereal!

NO!!!!! THIS IS A REALLY BAD IDEA, YOUR BABY IS TOO YOUNG!!!

Babies should not eat ANYTHING besides breastmilk or formula until they are 4-6 monmths old. You should check with your doctor about proper nutrition for your infant.

No, I don't think it is great idea. Babies don't have the enzymes to digest that much solid food. I would wait another month or so before you start giving him/her babyfood. The best thing to do is call your doctor and see what they recommend.

No he is too young their tummies are not strong enough to digest it properly and you shouldn't feed them until they can support their own neck and do not put cereal in their bottle that is not good people stop listening to what your parents did 30 years ago.

8 weeks is too young to be feeding baby food, unless it's rice cereal. Babies can't digest it as well as formula and he could develop food allergies. I really wouldn't be giving him anything but rice cereal mixed with formula at this time. Talk to your pediatrician.

Bad idea!! The cereal and baby food are being given way too early. This can cause food allergies and also has been linked to sudden infant death syndrome.

If he loves it and it isn't upsetting his system, let him eat those first stage foods. Why not?
