My daughter is 1.5 yrs old and until now, we've been using a sleep sack as her blanket...is it safe at this age to use a baby blanket in her crib or do we still need to worry about suffocation hazards? Going to ask her doc at her 18 mo appt but just wondering if anyone knew about it?

With my husband, financially, we are still eligible but can a married woman still receive WIC? Please help!!!!!!

I just had my baby Nov.2nd and I was not going to breast feed but the nurse convinced me that I will benefit from it and my child. It's just so painful and I tried the warm rag and it does not seem to work. What could I possibly do to make the pain go away?

I want to continue breast feeding because I can't believe how quickly I am loosing my stomach. It's amazing and my little son was born small 5 pounds 9 ounzes and he did not look so good, now he is nice and plumped. Please give me some helpful advice, I am also going on the website to see what are my other options.

Thank you in advance for helping...

If so, what did you think of it and would you recommend it (and which one did you use)? I am pumping full-time with a double electric Medela pump and it's going well but it would be really nice if I didn't have to sit in one position and hold the two suction cup thingies all the time. I get so thirsty when I pump but I don't have a free hand to drink with. Or I could read a book while I'm doing it. I'd just like to hear from some people who have used one before running out and spending $$$ on yet another pump.

Look, im a new mom with a lot of questions. I asked earlier if there were any ways i could encourage her to crawl. i do nothing but encourage her, but she is taking a while to learn new things, and i was concerned. but someone just had to criticize me on something that they simply took the wrong way. if you didnt have some advice for me, why'd you even bother acknowledging my question? when i say she is lazy, i mean she just sits there and eat, without even trying to learn to sit up or move or anything. im enterested in learning how to teach her to crawl, thats all.

Considering it is a girls name. I would never give a boy the name Kelly. Maybe the name Kaleb but not Kelly.

I have a friend who just had premature twin girls. One weighs 1lb 13 oz, the other 1lb 9 1/4oz. They are on oxygen but breathing on their own. My husband and I want to call or send flowers, something, but we are unsure what to say to them. "Congratulations" seems unfeeling towards the seriousness of the girls situation but "we are here if you need anything" seems too much like we are sending sympathy their way. Any suggestions welcome.

My sisters baby was born 1 month premature. He is now 2 months. He is already holding his head up on his own when we put him on our shoulders or pull him up gently by his arms. Is that early? Also, he is becoming very fussy, having a hard time sleeping, sucking on his hand a lot, and sometimes he refuses to eat. Could this be early signs of teething?
