With my first daughter she was eating baby food at four months. But now with my second daughter she is four months and just on formula. I know believe they should start baby food at six months. Occasionaly I will give my four month old daughter rice cereal with a spoon, but no other baby food. Honestly she isn't too interested in eating out of a spoon. Probably because she is still too young. But every parent starts there baby basically when they want too. I say why rush it??

It's best to wait until their at least 6 mos. but i started giving my son a little when he was 5-51/2 mos. I wouldn't give it to a baby any younger than that. I think those parents that give their babies cereal at like 8 weeks are crazy.

You can introduce rice cereal when the baby is 4-6 months. There is no need to rush. Just take the cues from the baby.

Well since you are asking about us....and not what is mediacally said to be best, my 3 sons all ate it by at least 4 months and went quickly to table food. They saw me eating and and wanted whatever we had at 4 months so we gave it to them. They all loved and adjusted to it quickly and we have never had any food allergies of any kind. I just tried to introduce foods seperately to keep track and make sure.
I stayed away from cereal because it has no nutritional value and it gave my first born constipation.
But do what you and your Dr. are comfortable with. That is what the Dr. is for. Because people all have different opinions and beliefs about what they think is best.

hi ya toddlers would desire to be weaned from six months as their digestive gadget hasn't developed precise till at last then. provide your lil lady yet another month and attempt her on ice cube length nutrients. She propely won't like plenty on the start and don't overlook she's in basic terms had milk. So the flavor and texture is thoroughly distinctive yet she gets the dangle off it x

6 months or older.

my neighbor started putting rice cereal in her babies bottle at 3-4 weeks old, why?......cause they thought it might make him start sleeping all night. personally, i thought that was WAY TOO YOUNG to do that, and for a selfish reason. his body isnt ready for cereal that young..not until they are older than 6 months!

Dr's will tell you around 4 months for Cereal and 6 months for vegetables but it will vary from child to child, my son never liked cereal and just went straight to veggies. Your child will know when they're ready as long as you try every once in a while.
