First of all, anyone who has had a child knows that the first thing every older woman tells you to do to get your kid to sleep through the night is to give them cereal. So those of you who are harassing this woman for doing it, go find a different topic where you can feel good picking on others.
Second, Elizabeth Pantley's book _The No-Cry Sleep Solution_ saved my sanity and helped me get my little one sleeping through the night without too much drama.

Don't feed him cereal before bed. it can cause an upset stomach. Make sure he gets 3 solid meals during the day with formula or breastmilk, and just do a bottle or breastfeed before bed. Try putting him to bed a half hour earlier than you have been. I read that in a book and did that with my son, and it helped him sleep longer. My son is 11 months also, and he does sleep through the night now. I breastfeed him right before bed. When we were trying to get him to sleep through the night, we'd try to wait 3-5 minutes before we went in to get him. I sent my husband because otherwise he wanted to breastfeed. My husband would try to calm him down while he was still in the crib, and only pick him up if he was getting too upset. Also, keep the room dark, and don't talk to him when you go in to calm him. I let him come in to bed with me at 5:30-6 am when he woke up and then I fed him in bed. He usually would go back to sleep. Now we do the same thing, but he usually wakes up later (between 6:30-7) and we snuggle until 7-8 am. He goes to bed at 7 pm. Good luck!

Your infant will at last come around to the entire ingesting and slumbering precise. My infant boy is the comparable age. Hes an extremely fussy eater too and gags lots. He has a million-2 bottles an afternoon so i comprehend the variety you sense. I difficulty lots besides if he's getting sufficient. Has he decrease any tooth yet. If he has basically decrease one or 2 he could be looking it puzzling to initiate chewing. it somewhat is basically a piece. If he wasnt properly nurished the docs might have a undertaking. save your recurring yet save him up until eventually 0.5 11 in morning for nap time because of the fact he would sleep longer throughout the time of the nighttime. He sounds like hes ok and if he's hungry then infant assist you to comprehend. save feeding off a spoon yet while i replaced into you I wouldnt supply such thick meals if he isnt able for them. My son sounds the comparable as yours, I placed him on 7 month nutrition until eventually he's able for degree 3. As you suggested each infant is distinctive.

Not all babys sleep through the night.
Here are a couple of tips...
When he wakes up at night just go to his door and say shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh over and over again. If he has a pacifier make sure he has it and then leave the room and say shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Eventually he will learn to calm down on his own.
Another idea is to let him cry. I personally didn't like doing that.
my boys didn't sleep through the night until they were over a year old. My daughter slept through the night at two months old. She was a thumb sucker and she had a security blanket.
I would also advise that you don't give him much of a bottle when he wakes up...his body is getting used to those calories at night and if you cut back his body will get used to not having that middle of the night snack.
The other option is to just let him wake up and he will eventually sleep through the night

what you do is instead of feeding your child formula or anything in the middle of the night is give them water in their bottle. Children need water not only to have something to suck on in the middle of the night but also to help them poop more. My daughter had a problem with pooping and waking up numerous times at night. I just left a bottle in her bed, she held and screamed but she is now 2 years old and she has been sleeping through the night since she was 7 months.

Some kids naturally don't sleep through the night until much later. I was 7 before I stopped getting up for my "2 am feeding".
Some kids just take longer.
Good luck

Like the other post said, I think the cereal gives the little guys a tummy ache. Have you tried giving your baby a bath right before bed?

Your baby may not be ready to sleep through the night. Some kids just don't. My daughter didn't sleep through ther night until she was 3.5 years! She did stop waking ME up around 2.5 though. My 21 month-old just started sleeping 4-6 hour stretches at night.
