Have you tried Mylicon drops or Levsin drops. If he is not spitting up that is good, at least you don't have to worry about him losing weight. Colic is very painful to babies and alot of time nothing will soothe them. A few things I tried was laying them belly down across my lap and gently bouncing while rubbing their back. Sometimes a hot water bottle on the back will help, not a heating pad. Use the bottle on the back not stomach so breathing won't be difficult. Oddly enough, what worked best was to lay a recieving blanket on top of the dryer and turn it on. The gentle vibrations and warmth coming thru the top of the dryer would help soothe them. It's a very difficult time, but usually outgrown by 3 months so just hang in there. You may have to change to a soy based formula.

Hi there! Congratulations on your son! When my son had bad gas or a tummy ache, I would lay him on his back and push his leg gently up to his stomach (bend at the knee), hold, and then straighten the leg. Alternate back and forth between legs. You can also do a slow bicycle motion with his legs. It gets the gas moving. Gripe water also may help. If this continues with no relief, your son may have colic. Your doctor should be able to prescribe something to help. Good luck to you and your baby. I hope he feels better soon.

Did you try nestle good starts? It has comfort proteins.
What bottles do you use? Are you sure he is not getting in air?????try playtex ventaires
Are you sure he is not lactose intolerant? Ask you dr about that. He may need to be put on soy formula but be sure because if not he could develop it from not having dair products.
For now lay him on his belly to release the pressure.
Also masssage his tummy gently, this will help and he will love it!
good luck and congrats
i know his pain i am pregnant and feel the same way

Try a soy formula.
There's a special type of massage you can do when he gets gas, or after he eats if you want to prevent it. Use a little baby oil and gently rub his belly from the belly button on down, alternating hands one after another. When you do this, you are helping everything move through his digestive system.
Works to do it on yourself too!

You can try giving him chamomile tea. my baby had the same problem. My Dr. recommended to give her like 2 oz after every 2 meals. The first few times you might want to mix it with the formula so he can adjust to the taste.

Pediatrician is best way to go. You can bring back breast milk, get in touch with "Le Leche league" for help. I think that would be solution for his digestion problems. The Dr. will know, perhaps goat milk, it's highly tolerated.

Before you try any more of these home remedies, you should first take your baby to his pediatrician ASAP. He should be examined completely just to make sure it's not something serious. And if it's something minor then the doctor will suggest something to ease your baby's discomfort.
