I've known three guys named Kelly. It didn't seem that out of the ordinary to me.

Kelly is NOT a girls name!!!
If it is then Jordan is a boys name & there are girls named that. I can understand not naming a boy Robin, Tracy or Kim, but there is nothing wrong with naming a boy Kelly.....

Its a unisex name. Some people name their boys Shelly. Its just something they do. I know a couple of guys named Kelly. Its ok. I wouldnt name my son that, because yeah it reminds me of a girl name, but it is for both.

Kelly is NOT solely a girls name. Kelly is an Irish name and is used for boys as well as girls. Just because YOU wouldn't use it for a boy child of your's doesn't make it solely a girls name...learn the origins of a name before you make claims that aren't true.

The name may be a girls name, but Artemis is a girl's name and there are a fair number of guys that have that name (not considering the book). There's also guys with the name Leslie. I don't think it's your right to judge what the parents want to name their kid. Just think what other's would say about the name you'd give your child.
