i am 26 yrs. old and am pregnant with my 2nd now. my son will be 5 yrs. old once the baby is born. we don't know the gender yet. my dillema is 'should i let my family/friends throw me a second shower?' i felt uncomfortable at my first even- receiveing so many gifts made me feel greedy and weird at the time. unfortunately we didn't plan on having another child, so we gave away an aweful lot of things we need now but didn't have a place to store them or a use for them at the time. (stroller, car seat, highchair, baby toys, etc.) now we are somewhat struggling with $ and cannot really afford these things. both sides of the family are pretty well off, so my husband thinks it is fine because we actually NEED stuff, and they'll be "happy to help". Iam still uncomfortable with it. shouldn't i be? please help! thank you!

I am currently breastfeeding my 14 week old son and one week ago had to go without nursing him for almost 24 hours. During that time I could not express my milk and got really engorged. I pumped finally and fed him right away but one week later I still feel like I don't have as much milk as I did before. He is now waking twice during the night to eat instead of once and is eating every 2 hours during the day. Is it possible to get my milk back to the way it was or will it never be the same? Thank you so much for any advice that you might have!

I'd really like to paint my 5 month old daughters nails to match her outfit for thanksgiving. She has a well being check up in a few weeks and I'll get the docs opinion then, but I would like to know what other mothers are doing. Would a non chip childs nail paint be alright?

Well my cousin just had her third baby shower. Everyone I know has baby showers for each pregnacy. Recently I was told by an in-law that a woman is only posed to have one. I have never haerd of this rule.

She will take a 4 ounce bottle, play for awhile then start fighting her naps. I usually cave and give her a bottle she will drink 1 or 2 ounces and then pass out. I have tried a passy, swing, rocking ect. she is inconsolable when tired. How can I teach her to take naps without a fight or a bottle.

My one month old daughter has now rolled over from her back to her stomach twice in one night. Is that unusual? I kind of expected it because her ped says she is extremely strong and she was holding her head up at 1 day old. At what age do they usually roll over?

How long should one b clean and sober before you would trust your children alone with them?
I am a father with drug and drinking problems how long would you require me to be sober before you would leave our children with me? I am violent and neglectfull but ONLY when DRUNK!! If I promised to be sober around a newborn for the 2 hours I have him would you trust me or would you want that time supervised?
