My one month old daughter has now rolled over from her back to her stomach twice in one night. Is that unusual? I kind of expected it because her ped says she is extremely strong and she was holding her head up at 1 day old. At what age do they usually roll over?

wow, 5-6 months normally, What a girl! Get her in gymnastics later shes practicing for the olympics. It is reassuring when they can roll over, Decreases the chances of SIDS

Wow that's great. It's not unusual for a baby to roll over from there back to there belly At a very young age. I would however keep a close eye on her during the night if you find that that's when she is doing it the most, just to make sure that her face is turned to the side and not straight down towards the mattress.
I Know that my children had done this at a very young age as well, but they were big babies at birth and were very strong as well.

your baby must be very strong to hold her head up at 1 day old. but babies usually start rolling over at 2-3 months after birth.

My first rolled at 3 months and the second at 1 1/2 months. Both girls. I also noticed that my first was advanced in speech and less in mobility and the second was advanced in mobility and delayed with speech. Every child is definitely a different experience :)

All babies develop at different paces so its hard to say when they are supposed to roll over. my first rolled over at around 1 month my second child at about 3 months and my third child around 2 months. Their size has something to do with it also...the larger they are, the harder it is to turn over. Just be happy you have a well developed child

My youngest son who has Down Syndrome rolled over for the first time at three weeks. We thought it was a fluke but he kept doing it. A week later he rolled the other way and kept doing it.
So, no, I don't think it is too early.

It's unusualy but there's nothing wrong with her, probably. I had one that rolled over at a couple weeks and had an extremely strong neck and back. That's just the way she was.

usually they master back to front in the first few months, but 1 month is certainly advanced.

Consider a good baby wedge to keep her from rolling over and falling victem to SIDS in the night. she needs to stay on her back at night for as long as possible.

It depends on the child it's self. I held my head up the day i was born too and it amazed everyone! It shows she's extremely healthy but now i would really keep my eyes open to make sure she doesn't sleep on her belly other than that i would be happy and excited.

It is early, but it is okay. My cousin was doing things like this at about the same ages, and was walking by the time she was 7 months old...
It's a little frazzling, but nothing to be worried or scared about.
