I don't think it will hurt the baby's tummy but you should always check with your pediatrician before any changes. Sometimes a baby might have a hard time changing back and forth between a bottle and breast because the breast requires more effort. It would also be better if you could pump your breast milk and put it in a bottle rather than using formula. It freezes!

It depends on the baby...I gave my baby a few ounces of formula once and he was VERY gassy and fussier than usual. This could be either from the bottle OR the formula or a combo of both but I never did it again. Also, if you really like breastfeeding then I would stop with the bottle because most likely little by little the baby will drink from the bottle more and more and eventually you will have less milk which could lead to no breastmilk at all and it's hard to turn back. Good luck!

Any breast milk the baby gets is very good for her. If you need to supplement with formula, its perfectly normal. I have a 7 week old baby, I am formula feeding and the baby is doing great and everything, but I really wish I would have done both breast and formula. Don't feel bad about supplementing because you are doing the best you can.

No, 3 a million/2 months is plenty too early for solids. contemporary suggestion is to initiate solids at around 6 months. And jointly because it particularly is proper to initiate as early as 4 months, that does no longer mean that 3 a million/2 months is great. end putting cereal in his bottle (pointless, risky and by no ability counseled via any good source), and seem for different obtainable motives for his obvious starvation. If he's already eating 6 oz. each ninety minutes, it particularly is sixteen feeds consistent with day x 6 oz. = ninety six oz. an afternoon --- that's plenty extra suitable than any toddler could be envisioned to prefer, and it particularly is totally no longer likely that he's actual that hungry, or maybe much less in all threat that a pair of bites of applesauce might abruptly fulfill him.

The baby gets the most benefits from exclusive breastfeeding.
Every ounce of breastmilk is a benefit though, and some breastmilk is always better than no breastmilk.
Why did you start supplementing? Are you worried about supply or weight gain?

Using both is just fine. Your baby will digest it just fine. Keep nursing and enjoy your baby.
