Quick question-when is it alright to take a bath after a normal vaginal delivery. I did not tear, or have an episiotomy, or anything like that. I delivered 1 week ago, and my bleeding is about done. Thanks!

I have a month old son who doesn't seem to be sasitfied after I breastfeed him. Is it ok to give him a little formula before putting him to the breast.

He does fine with the bottle and breast so no problem there!

MY baby just turned three months and still cant lift her head very long when I put her on her stomach. She doesnt really like tummy time very much either. How long do you guys place your babies on their tummy for tummy time? Also most of the time when she has tummy time she just falls asleep instead of doing anything. What can I do?

My 2 week old falls asleep quickly when breastfeeding and its impossible to wake her back up. Should I give her like 4 or 5 min on one side, switch her and then let her eat on the other side until shes full and just make sure each side gets equal eating time? Or should I let her empty one breast one feeding and the other the next? Sometimes if I try and switch her shes like ok I'm done when if I had just let her be she might have kept eating on that one side. Any advice? Shes gaining plenty of weight she gained 3 1/2 oz in 3 days last week so the doc says thats good.

But, alot of people think my daughter should pay me. I can't see taking money to babysit for my grandaughter. I babysit 5 days a week and for 8 hours a day.

I personally think it is best that your child eventually drift off to sleep on his own w/o rocking... and singing.. etc. So when is that? I have a 7 1/2 mo old little boy and our nightly ritual hasn't changed. We play... we eat.. we have bath time.. we play... and then he drinks his milk as I rock him to sleep. Im just curious when that should be changed to laying him in his crib and letting him fall asleep on his own.

Is it too soon?

(Please say yes it is too soon!... haha Just kiddin!! I am soo gonna miss it when it's time!)

Has anyone had any luck w/ this? My good friend just adopted a 3 week old baby from Texas. Long story but it was a spur of the moment thing since the baby's mom got sent to prison. The infant was breast fed for several weeks & my friend would like to continue it. She's had the baby for a couple of days & the baby does okay on formula. But do you know any herbal things to stimulate breast milk production right away? Or any real medications (I know my friend would have to see a Dr for real meds). I've heard of people doing this, but I've never met them so I don't know who to ask. She'd rather use herbs/natural things than prescriptions.
Thanks for any advice or links.

Also, how much milk should I be producing at a time if I am pumping? (in ounces). I am new at this and have no lactation consultant. I am looking for one but live in a very small town! Is it possible for breast milk to be too watery for my infant?

Has anyone used the 'Soothie' brand bottles/pacifiers?!

I plan on using them w/my daughter when she's born, and was just wondering what everyone else's experiences with them were.

My son LOVED his 'hospital' binky...And the packaging says, These are the same thing?!!?

I am in the middle of a divorce from my husband our son is 7 weeks old and prior to his birth my husband seemed excited, although we are seperated I set up times for him to visit our son three days a week for 2 hours supervised by my mother. Since our sons birth he has only spent MAYBE 8 hours with him (an hour here, an hour there). My attorney says that is good he does not visit and I am fine with that I just dont understand how someone goes from always wanting a child to not visiting him, supporting him ect. He never calls to check on him, and when I do hear from him he never just says how is our son....he just sometimes says..I love you son. He knows it is his child because he looks just like him and when refering to him he says "MY BOY" but he acts like he does not care but he refuses to agree on custody arangments and is foring us to go to court. Does anyone have ideas?? Just curious
