Oyyyy do I feel your pain! lol...I'm 38 wks too, And am having the EXACT same problem, In fact, I just asked a question similar to this about an hour ago, Lol.
Only difference is- The pressure doesn't go away for me, It's been a constant thing for the past couple weeks, Getting worse and worse..
According to what everyone has said, Including dr's..it's a normal part of late pregnancy!

I dealt with this with both of my pregnancies and I would say yes this is normal. Sometimes, in the latter part of pregnancy the baby finds a favorite spot right on the sciatic nerve. This can be painful at times or you just might have problems walking. As, far as the pressure in your privates, this again is your little bundle of joy favoring a certain position. Since, you are 38 weeks the baby probably got into position for delivery (head down) and you're feeling the baby's head down there. Don't worry his/her head won't come out, but I know it feels like it. If your doctor agrees my best advice would be to walk, walk, walk especially if this is your first baby. Congrats on your new baby!

at 38 weeks everything i did was uncomfortable. Pressure in the vagina like that means the baby is moved down and is ready to come out in to the world.
Good luck

Its perfeclty normal...the baby's head is engaged and presses on all your internal organs...when youstand up it maybe moves off the pressure point a little...Same thing happened to me, except I got the cramp in my groin area.

I felt the same thing...the pleasure of the last days of pregnancy. At least take comfort in the fact that you should be delivering soon..maybe not this week..but soon..and you'll be on your way to feeling normal again.

i develop into those days pregnant, and that would not sound widespread. If it wasn't throughout your uterus, and if it did not enable up, that wasn't a contraction. it would properly be because of the exam, yet i might want to call you clinical specialist and ask. that's what they're there for.

I started to get those feelings. I would get them and it felt really strange and painful. I was induced and it had only happened 4-5 times. When I got there, I was 1cm dilated.

could be braxton hicks.
the baby has probably already dropped causing pressure on nerves which would make walking difficult.
you should be visiting the ob weekly now, make sure you mention this to your dr.

Yes it is normal because it is almost time for you to go in and the baby head is probably in birth position. (head first)

Sounds like you're getting ready to go into labor. If you start getting pains that go around your waist I'd go to the hospital.
