It is easier to have at least 4 bottles for pumping milk--that way you can have two to pump into at all times.

Get bags made for breast mlk as they will be sterile.

I used a Medela "pump in style" when I went back to work and it was great. You could pump both side at once and there is an insulated area and freezer pack to chill the milk. Plus it looks like a briefcase.

I took mine to work and there was a lounge/restroom area I used for pumping when I took my break and it worked great.

Remember, you can store the milk in the refrigerator OR you can freeze it in the special bags.

Start pumping before you get back to work in order to get the hang of it and start to stockpile a little milk.

I pumped when my newborn was in cardiac ICU. I froze some of the milk from that time and used it later. I pumped after I went back to work when he was almost two months old and I breastfed him until he was one.

It may get tricky, but it can be done. Remember to start the pump at the lowest suction level, make sure there is a good fit when you put it to your breast and do NOT try to pull the cone-thing off when the pump is on.

Your local LaLeche League and the lacatation nurse at the hospital where you gave birth can also help.

Congratulations on the baby and best wishes for an easy transition back to work.

use a breast bump but do not buy the cheapest one you can find experiance on that one but i never used a special bag or bottle but i have used a special nipple on the bottle i used the nipple that looks and feels more like the breast itself. But you can use the bottles that use the bags that reduces the air and it reduces tummy achs so that wont be a bad idea just keep the breast milk cold. i would do an experiament at home to see how many bottles you will need maybe i only had four bottles. You can reuse them so you will not need to keep buying bottles but if you use the ones with the plastic in them you can buy a big box of them and i think 20 refills comes in those so you should be fine on that too but i also reused those i washed them and reused to save money on them too but that is totally up too.
CONGRATS on new baby

I would by a electrical one either medela pump in style or the avent isis duo. Medel runs from $279-319, avent pump is $300-349, both depend on where you buy them from. Do not skimp and go for the lower price on. It will only break on you. It is best to pump both breast at the same time. They sell bags or bottles, I use the bags.
But they do sell bottles that you can use and resterilize3-5 times. Talk to a lactation consultant.

You can buy breastmilk bags. Those are what you need it you want to start saving up for when you go back to work. Put it in bags, make sure you write the date on it, and freeze it. Breastmilk only keeps for 3 months frozen. Unfrozen it should be used within 24 hours. So pump as much as you can to freeze, especially if baby is going to daycare.
I dont know anything about the pumps. The only reason i know anything about the milk, is because i work in the nursery at a daycare, and i had a baby whose mom pumped and froze breastmilk for me to give him.

I would suggest getting the breast pump that is eletric or battery powered. (I did the manual one and it takes forever) Get atleast a two day supply of bottles. So say your baby will be drinking 4 bottles while you are a work (MAke a bottle for every two hours and at least two extra incase the little one is hungry and freeze them and if they don't get used one day they are good still for the next) I would get the double sealing storage bags I know that a company named Lansinoh (they also make the oitment for breastfeeding mothers) and they are great little bags I used them for my son, never leaked or spilt.

You can buy special breastmilk bags for the freezer with zip lock tops. I think Gerber? as for bottles, get three or four to start and go from there. You might need more but start with that. The bottles can be washed and refilled.
