Okay. Here's the situation. I have been babysitting for this couple for the past 7 months. I have cared for this child since he was 4 months old and he is 10 months old now. My hourly rate is $10. The couple has just asked me to watch him overnight for the first time because they would like to celebrate their wedding anniversary alone. What would you charge? P.S. I have babysat for a couple with 3 children; ages 2, 4 & 6 for a weekend (friday evening, saturday all day and Sunday for half of the day) and I was given $300. Please help.=)

My daughter is in special care at our local hospital having been born eight weeks early. The hospital provides me with SMA latex teats, but the bottles I have at home are silicone. My baby has difficulty feeding - she has issues with sucking and breathing coordination and tires halfway thru a feed. Any help is much appreciated.

I have been breastfeeding my baby exclusively for the first four months, but I had to go back to work, and even if I still pump milk for him, I just cannot keep up with his growing demands. I was going to supplement with a formula once or twice a day, but my baby gets very gassy after Similac and Enfamil (both milk and soy based). I heard Carnation Good Start Supreme is much easier on little tummies. Has anyone tried it? Does it really make a difference?

I DON'T want to use Avent bottles, and to the best of my knowledge, breast pumps are designed for standard bottles even though wide-mouthed bottles are best to prevent nipple confusion.

Have any of you mothers used catnip tea for a baby? I have a 13 month old, who has some health problems and someone told me to try catnip tea. Wouldn't chamomile tea be safer? I don't want to give him any seditives, so I haven't asked the doc for anything like that yet. He sleeps one night a week, and then won't even take naps anymore

I just started giving my 4-week-old baby tub baths (in her baby tub) and she urinates in the tub each time! I've resorted back to giving her sponge baths because I'm not sure what to do. Any suggestions??

My little girl was a modest 7 lbs when she was born and is now 6 weeks old and still only 9 lbs (but very healthy) and is still SWIMMING in her newborn/0-3mos clothes! I can only put her in one piece outfits and roll the sleeves and ankles. Forget about any of the cute pants outfits I recieved from the baby shower they are almost out of season and she isn't even close to being able to keep them up. So my question is: did anyone else have this problem? When did your baby grow out of 0-3 months?

sitting in it? i have a Bebe Pod, she sits in it very well, but after a while she gets bored. i give her toys to hold, but she doesn't hold them for long and i was wondering... is there some kind of baby gym-like toy or anything else that has the right height to put it infront of her to play? perhaps a mini table with toys, maybe with buttons that she can press and light up or play music... i'm just brainstorming to see if i can find something fun to entertain her while she practices sitting up. i'd appreciate any helpful ideas!

My son is now 2 months old and wasn't able to be circumsized when he was born because he has a webbed penis. He is scheduled for surgery in 2 months and I was just wondering if anyone has gone through this with their own little boys? What should we expect?

I'm soon to be having a baby but also thinking about making diaper cakes for friends, etc. I can get the nicer brands in bulk but I was wondering if a mom would prefer receiving luvs or pampers diapers. I can get 224 (size 1) Luvs diapers for $31.99 or 228 (size 1) Papmers diapers for $36.99. Also, I've never shopped for them- is this a bargain? Thanks so much!
