you HAVE to be kidding, right? i'll tell you exactly why this is bad, that poor kid is going to be forever known as 'the first baby born live on tv', just cos his parents wanted their fifteen minutes of fame. also, it may well start a trend. 'day 25 in the little brother house, and angie looks ready to pop. who will survive the public vote and recieve an epidural?...'
most ridiculous thing iv heard in a long time. the cameras are everywhere nowadays! frankly, im surprised that the hospital is allowing them...actually come to think of it, its probably in a birthing pool...

Having recently watched my wife do it I think it is OK, not great TV but if it is done properly it could be quite educational, as long as it is flagged up prior to the start. However I believe it is a personal situation between the parents, and of course the medical staff in attendance. I won't be watching it but if it helps people understand then surely it is a good thing unless it put people off. Is it any different to watching half of the programmes on TV which feature operations, liposuction etc, a beautiful natural act that has been going on forever! Surely it is about time we cured the stigma that exists around birth, TV could be the panacea!

Yes, I think it might show teenagers who have unsafe sex what could happen to them and what is involved and that having a baby is not just about going into hospital for a day or two and coming home with a live doll to play with.

There are numerous programmes on different channels every day showing births.
Live births could be a different story, as you never quite know how people are going to react in very stressful situations!
Also, if any problems arise, it could leave mum and dad feeling violated and restricted in the long run.

No. I do not think this is good TV. We all know how babies come into the world without putting a camera up there.
Some things in life are best kept private.

Yeah why not, anything is better than songs of praise, The birth of my kids was totally amazing to me. My wife was a bit of a swearer though, so their might be a bit of bad language.

yes i think it is a good idea because when you here on tv that a young girl wants a baby its not a good idea so if they see this they may think twice before having sex and even if it stops one young teenager then its thumbs up from me

Ew. I've been through it first-hand and still don't know why anyone would want to see it! Blah, blah, it's beautiful and natural and the miracle of life and all, but still--so gross.
