We've tried to have a baby for 4 years, and was so excited when we finally got pregnant. She's here, healthy and beautiful. She is almost 4 weeks old, and since this is our first it is a little difficult learning how to take care of her. So far so good there...what we didn't expect was feeling somewhat detached from her. We love her and are happy we've been blessed with her, but we are looking for that bond.

My baby is 6 months old and just got over an ear infection. Her ear that was infected looks great now, but the other has fluid in it. Our pedi said it isn't an infection. She is keeping a watch on it, but what exactly does this mean and is this something that we may need to get tubes for later? Fluid in the ear can cause some hearing loss and is something we need to watch, correct?

She doesn't wake up crying, but is just awake. I try to let her go and see if she goes back to sleep, but sometimes when I walk in, she has her head up and is WIDE AWAKE. If I let her go after she sees me, she will wimper around and start to cry. I will not do the cry it out method, as I'm opposed to that at this young of age, and I've never had to even worry about her waking up crying because she just doesn't. Is there a hint you might have to help her sleep longer? Am I putting her to bed too early? She seems to be sleepy around 7-8 ish. If I waited longer, she's fussy. Is this just a stage? A development thing perhaps? Thanks Signed, Very Tired Mommy

What diapers do you use at night to avoid leaks? I seem to be having a problem with this. Is there a diaper cover that you've found works really well, or a diaper that works well overnight or a combination of things? I would really appreciate any helpful answers!!!

my five month old baby boy has started rolling over more. now that hes become a professional at the art he likes to spend more time on his tummy than on his back. the problem starts when i put him to bed. i always put him to bed on his back. feet to foot of the cot. but when i go check on him he has rolled over and is sleeping on his tummy. i find myself rolling him back several times a night. im really worried about cot death and i just wanted to know if there is a way that i cud stop him from rolling over in his sleep?

I know that studies are not conclusive but do you think walking or sitting would be the lesser of 2 "evils"?

I tried taking off the bouncer toy bar with one hand. I didn't even think about it falling towards her. It fell forward and hit my 5 1/2 month old baby in the head. The toy bar is a little bit heavy. Maybe a few pounds because of all the toys/battery attached to it. She cried very loud for a 1 min or so. There were small red marks on her forehead. I feel terrible for not being more careful. Will her head be fine? Will it cause any damage in the future?

Serious ? guys and child support - being a father?
I live in the State of California. I've been told by my best friend who grew up with a single parent and he rarely seens his father, has said I'm ****** stuck and can't get out of paying child support. Courts always go in favor of the mother. I'm proven to be the father of a newborn baby but i'm not ready to be a father. I can barely hold down a steady job. I'm 25. The mother is filing for sole custody, and child support. Even if I give up my rights and say I want no visits I still have to pay child support. Why do us guys get the short end of the stick?

is there anyway possible in getting out of child support?

Gave it monday, tuesday he had thrush everywhere. doc says finish anitibiotics-still have 8 days worth-before treating thrush! but he is miserable, should i make him suffer for over a week? cant i treat the thrush and then give him something else for sinus? plus they gave me nystatin again which did not work last time. anyone know anything that would get rid of his sinus infection w/out unnecessary antibiotics?

I have a 2 month old son and would rather not give him the vaccines or at the very least I dont think he needs them all right away. Wouldnt it be better to wait untill he has his own immunity before introducing any foreign bacteria in to his body intentionally.
