I tried taking off the bouncer toy bar with one hand. I didn't even think about it falling towards her. It fell forward and hit my 5 1/2 month old baby in the head. The toy bar is a little bit heavy. Maybe a few pounds because of all the toys/battery attached to it. She cried very loud for a 1 min or so. There were small red marks on her forehead. I feel terrible for not being more careful. Will her head be fine? Will it cause any damage in the future?

For your own peace of mind, take the baby to the Pediatrician and let him/her evaluate the fall. I did with my kids and I could sleep better at night. Is just part of being a Mom, don't be so hard on yourself.

Unless the bump goes inward she'll be fine, just be ready for more bumps and bruises because she'll be get tin alot of them. Kids are accident prone just watch out. She'll be fine in the future to, my son is 10 and he has fallen of counters and trees couches ran into walls, and he is a healthy boy, and I have a 2 year old she is the worst at getting hurt but she's good to go also. It's just what kids do, a little bump on the head is nothing to worry about when the time come you will no when it's more serious and your instincts will kick in.

From the sounds of things, it would seem that she will be fine. It may be a good idea to call a Dr. or if there's an "Ask - A - Nurse" in your town, you could call them.
Anyway, I must ask this - What would cause you to think to ask in this forum instead of calling a professional, or at least an older experienced family member?

This is the first of MANY bumps that she will get. Don't worry. My daughter was throwing a fit and threw herself forward bashing her head on the metal part of out desk chair. It instantly turned BLACK, and she was screaming for a few minutes. But she was fine. This is only one of many for my daughter. Doctor said as long as they are not acting strange, vomiting, or crying for more than a few minutes because of the pain, they are more than likely perfectly fine.

Stuff like that happens all the time with babies & toddlers. If you're that worried, call the dr.'s office, they should have a 24 hour answering service, and he can ask you the appropriate questions and advise you what to do.

Most likely. Babies have very soft skulls and it takes alot to injure their heads. God created them this way, for this very reason.
