Yes, it will get better, but not without your help. Make sure to include the older child in taking care of the baby. Make her feel like a real big sister. Let her be in charge of diaper changes, getting the diaper, throwing old one away. Let her help make bottles (if not breastfeeding). Let her sing to the baby, and help you rock him to sleep. Make sure you take special time while the baby sleeps to do something special with just her. Let her know that she is still as important and special as she was before her brother was born. Good luck, and I hope it does get better for you soon. Congrats on the new baby!

Yes, it will- you are aware of it, so things will change. I used to read to mine while I nursed/fed the younger. Make special time for the oldest, while baby is napping... Don't worry about the house- just worry about sanity---Yours included- Maybe when the baby is having a nap, have a nap with the 2 year old. The cuddles will feel good for both of you! In the mornings, I often used to let the older ones hold the baby, as soon as the baby was fed, changed etc... With that out of the way, the older ones were usually happy to get on with their day. Hope something in here helps.
Congratuations. And Seriously - don't worry about the house- they grow up so fast- and in 10 years you can have a clean house with well adjusted children running in and out of it! And you'll have some good memories for sharing that time with them!

Try getting the older child more involved, Let the older child sit on your lap with the new baby and hold the bottle. Let the older child bring you a pamper and watch you change the baby's diaper. Make sure the older child is not feeling replaced, when the newborn is sleeping try and spend more time with the older child.

of course she is jealous you now have somebody new to love. she will get better and find that having a brother is not a bad thing. Try not to spoil her tho but make sure you give her equal time and when the baby is in bed as well. get her to help you get the baby's bath and things ready I am sure she will be a big help praise her when she helps out with the baby this will soon be a thing in the past. Congratulations on the birth of your wonderful baby boy and all the best with your little girl

atm??? Just make her feel involved, let her help out. It takes some getting used to, and she is young. Just make sure she gets plenty of attention, and give her special treats for being a good big sister.

sure she is jealous. for this long she has been the baby. since she is now the big sister, try to let her know how grown up she is and be supportive and understanding. she may like the idea of being a "grown up". just be patient and try to spend some designated time for just you and her.
