My 5 month old hasn't been sleeping throught the night as she has been since the age of 2 months. She has been waking at 3-4am as well as 6-7am to feed or just cry and fuss. I told the doctor but he didnt seem worried. She also becomes very irritable just prior to bed. This isn't a constant thing but it has been going on for about a week now. Any ideas ab out why she is waking up twice in the night at this age?

I have a 6 month old and people are in love with him. He's my first baby. I was wondering at what age did people stop asking you about your child. For example, whenever I am around family, friends, or in the grocery store for that matter, people are asking me how old he is and what he's eating, etc. I love the attention he gets, but I'm curious to know at what age that kind of conversation usually stops.

Many of you know I came inquiring about an over needy baby I sit for. The situation has gotten worse with her mom becoming pregnant again. She has to work now and she and I have talked about Faith and she gave me some pointers. Her daughter still hasn't gotten any less needy. For example, I cannot sit down to feed my son without her child throwing a fit because I am not giving her my full attention. When I feed her, if I don't have that next spoonful ready fast enough, she screams and I mean screams. She comes to my house at 7 am when my son is still asleep and when her mom leaves she starts her whinning and she gets in to a screaming fit and wakes up my son. Her mom has told me don't be afraid to let her cry, but she disrupts my son. If Faith sees my son and sees me giving him attention, she could have been happy 2 seconds before and she gets jealous because it's not her I'm paying full attention to. It's getting ridiculous, but her mom doesn't have time to find a new sitter

I have a 20 week old, and for the past month he has not been sleeping soundly, he seems restless, but goes back to sleep if I give him back the pacifier. But it seems like I am up all night doing it, he used to sleep so well. Also he is wanting to eat around 4:30-5 am again, and most of the time he goes back to sleep, but why is he starting to need a feeding again before getting up at 7 am, he usually goes down by 9-9:30 pm. I am thinking, maybe teeth???? Has anyone else gone through this, am I ever going to get a full nights sleep again before he turns 10? LOL!

What age did you start giving your baby stage 3 foods?
My daughter has been on stage 2 for a while but I think she might be ready to move on to stage 3.
She is a little over 7 months old and has 2 teeth.
Just curious?

My 6-month-old was born 8 weeks prematurely and has GERD, so he has slept in a swing almost since we brought him home. We've tried putting him to bed in his crib now that his GERD is more under control, but he just won't sleep there. Any suggestions?

This is the list of my favorite names. I'm not old enough to have kids, but in the future these are the names I hope to use at least a couple of (that is, if my future husband likes them too). Don't say I'm too young th be thinking about baby names, because I'm just thinking about it and there's no harm in that. I know I might not like these later on, but anywho what do you think of these? Be honest! Thanks!

I am taking some steps right now to try and increase my milk flow, but I was wondering how long I needed to continue those things (pumping after each feeding, eating more protein, taking supplements) once my milk production is up. Any ideas?

If one of us goes part time at work and our kid is in day care the rest of the time, which would you suggest:
A) Working full days M/W/F, which would mean three 8+ hours at the day care?
- or -
B) Working part days M-F, which would mean five 5+ hour days at the day care?

They both add up to about the same number of hours... I'm just wondering which you'd suggest. I'm inclined to think the Plan B schedule might be better because it would be a more regular routine... Not sure! Advice very appreciated.

My 11 month old has 8 teeth. I fed her black beans and rice for lunch yesterday and I have noticed a spec of black on the back of her bottom front tooth. I have tried brushing to get it out and it's not budging. I've tried using my finger nail but she likes to bite down. OUCH! What should I do?
