Babies lose weight when they become more active.I bet he is crawling now and burning more calories and less interested in eating. I dont think you need to be too worried.

It's not too uncommon for a child to lose weight in the first year...a couple of pounds isn't a huge deal just yet. It could be that he is picky about new foods, or that he is now more active than he was before..learning to crawl better and maybe even attempting to walk. The nurse probably just wants to keep an eye on things just in case. Have you noticed anything else different about him? Has he been very sleepy more than usual, refusing to eat or drink often? You are the mom, and believe it or not, you are more in touch with your little boy than that nurse. Pay attention, but don't over analyze every little thing. In your heart, you will know what's going on.

Dont worry sweetie. I'm sure things will turn out fine. Just continue to nurture him, and see how things go. I read that babies are just like adults at times --- they have moods swings, and times when they want to do one thing today, and not do it tomorrow. That applies to eating as much as they normally do. Stay prayerful. Things will be OK.

I think he is okay. Don't worry too much. Just keep him on a regular feeding schedule, DO NOT overfeed him!
