What do you think about stores keeping baby formula locked up at the register? I've been told it's because formula is a high theft item, and I've been told it's because drug dealers use it to cut cocaine. Either way I think it's pretty sad that we live in a world where baby formula has to be kept under lock and key.

My daughter is 3.5 months old. Lately, she cant seem to relax while she sleeps. She often squirms in her sleep. In addition, she rubs her eyes, drools alot, wants to chew on everything, and also seems to be hungrier than usual (she hasnt started solids). I dont know if she could be teething, or if its time to give her solids soon (when she turns 4 months), or what. Anyone experience something similar with their baby? Thank you.

I have an 11 month old daughter and I am trying to get pregnant again. I have only had 2 periods since she was born due to the fact that I nurse. I used to be so regular that you could set a clock by me. My cycle was 27 days in between last 2 periods. I am on day 28 with nothing. 2 failed pregnancy tests. What gives? When will my period get regular again?

My husband and I do not want to circumcise our son when he is born and we are encountering a lot of opposition from family and friends (mainly parents). They site religious and hygenical reasons for their point of view. The AAP does not have sufficient results from research to recommend the routine circumcision of infant boys. Studies are inconclusive and contradictory. It isn't really any cleaner either, according to my research. Boys are born with a foreskin, it is natural. Does a small chance of a complication justify the removal of the foreskin? If so, why don't we remove the tonsils and the appendix when a child is born? We even talked to the doctor and he told us that the main determining factors are based on religious and social reasons(looking like his friends). We do live in the Bible belt. We are Christians and as far as biblical reasons go, it says in the New Testament that we are to have circumcised hearts and that physical circumcision is of no value.

What do you think?

I am hosting a baby shower for my new sister-in-law. She has three other boys from a previous marriage (she lost all of her belongings in Katrina so she doesn't have her other kid's baby stuff). Her boys range in age from 8 to 13 and I want to do something for them to make them feel more welcome and included since they are sort of my new nephews as well. In addition, I do not want them to feel left out because of the new baby. To make things worse, I don't know much about what they like yet and I'm going to be short on cash from the other expesnes of the baby shower. Any ideas or suggestions?

okay my newborn is a week and half old. When I started breastfeeding I could feel my boobs fill up, but now I can't, but there is still milk in them. Is this normal or am I loseing my supply? I would like to continue breastfeeding for as long as possibe but I don't know if that will be possible like my first child. I only breastfed for 3 wks. Are there any suggestions as to how I can keep my supply up for her eating needs? I have had to start bottle feeding too b/c I cannot feel my breasts fill up like usual. They only do once during the day and a night. I eat very well and have been drinkng a lot of fluids too. And am also still takeing my prenatal vitamins. Is there anyting that could help me keep my supply to continue breastfeeding?

Is there anything wrong having my one year old little girl sleeping in the bed with me? I am 22 years old and my daughter has been sleeping in the bed with me every since she was 4 months. My close family says it will create sleeping problems in the future. Like when she is older and its time for her to sleep in her one room and bed. Do think this is true? I am just a young mother in need of some good advice! The reason why I put her in my bed was because she had reflux when she we an infant and had to set up after every feed so I use to just prop up some pillows and put her on them and eventually feel asleep. She has since grown out of it and now it almost feels funny when I am sleeping by myslelf. Now its like I just want to be close to her if she chokes or wakes up in the middle of the night. She does go to daycare and they have no problems with putting her in her crib but at her fathers house they have problemes with putting her to sleep in her crib at night. What do you think?

My son is 13 months old and we're trying to wean him from the bottle:
- He only has them before bed and naps.
- He drinks water and juice from sippy cups, but refuses milk in a sippy cup. He loves water or juice out of a bottle, so switching liquids hasn't helped.
- He takes one to bed with him (thanks to my husband...) but doesn't fall asleep drinking it. It just relaxes him, so the doctor said it was fine, his teeth weren't at risk.
- He's never sucked on a pacifier
- I heard him wake up early this morning, and heard him dry sucking on the empty bottle. So now I'm worried- he seems dependent on it and is no longer able to self-soothe.

I've read that 13 months is too young for cold turkey. But since it's not a health or learning thing- he knows how to drink out of sippy cups- it seems like it's a sleep training thing. Should I just bite the bullet and let him CIO to get past the bottle? With another baby on the way, is it worth it, or will he just want it back later?

Her birthday is October 23rd. Halloween is my favorite time of the year. We have had Halloween parties for my 5 year old in the past. How can I incorporate it into my daughters first birthday, or should I do two seperate parties.
My intention from this point on is to have her birthday as Halloween parties, but since this is her 1st birthday...what do you think?

Thank you for your time and thoughts...
