AmandaB answer is great I was going to make that same suggestion get customerized T's they will both cost you around 10 bucks. I would but there names on it just to make it a little more personal, and not like a random store bought T'shirt. It will make them feel special and included. Being in such a tragic event they need to feel spacial. With a new baby they might feel neglected and pushed away.

Like I always say in the cases where people need to give gifts and have limited funds. Make Cookies! Personalize them and wrap them in little parcels that have name tags on them, all handmade, yummy and next to nothing cost wise! All kids love cookies!
It may not be a game-boy but it shows inclusion and that you noticed and accepted them! (which is really very nice and considerate of you by the way)
You would be surprised how very many people forget this small detail when introducing a new baby into a family. GOOD 4 U!
Kudos and good luck!

There are those little travel games (checkers, chess, scrabble, others). The little games come in plastic cases and have magnetic pieces. What about giving each a different game and maybe some kind of candy; or else gift cards for McDonalds or something like that. It would keep them entertained during the shower, and they'd get to have the games for later in case they're looking for something to do.
It wouldn't have to be travel games, though. It could be other games if you could afford them. There are also those packages of "Brain Teasers" sometimes sold in places like Brooks Drug. If you could afford something like small sets of L'egos or copies of them might be something for boys to enjoy doing.
I think if you got them some little thing that would keep them busy and that might let them do an activity together, and then if you added some food treat, it would be nice for them. Another thing could be one game for them to share and a food treat (candy, McDonalds card, pizza, giant bag of popcorn during the shower, etc.) and maybe something like koosh balls for all three.

Get them each a gift and wrap it up in baby gift wrap and then have them help mom open the gifts. Have them go through and open the things for the baby but then hand them the gifts that are for them. When they see the baby wrapping paper they'll think it's for the baby but when they open it up it'll be for them. A suprise like that could be fun :-)
