Wash all of your baby's bedding. Clean the area around your baby's bed. You can try an ant bait in the corner of the room. Make sure your baby does not touch it. You can also move your baby's bed to another part of the room. Maybe the bed is too close to a window or an opening where the ants are coming in.

409 kills ants instantly. I had really bad ants in an old house I was renting. I would wake up in the morning & go down to the kitchen to find a huge trail of ants all the way across the kitchen & up the wall (even though my kitchen was clean). The owner of the house told me to use 409 & it would kill them instantly. It does work however it doesn't do the best job of keeping them away long term. Because of the baby I would suggest using the 409 on the floors along the walls in the bedroom & then use the boric acid or something that is used outside all the way around your house. Good luck, I hate ants they are soooo annoying. Hope this helps.

Ants are bad this year..... most everyone i know has t hem.

I washed all the bedding in my child's room and vacuumed real well moving all furniture and toys. I also vacuumed the closet. I wiped down the walls with bleach water and cleaned the Windows and window seals. I sprayed any killer along the floor where the floor meets the wall, the walls meet in the corners and where the ceiling meets the walls. I also sprayed along the foundation where the brick meets the vinyl on the outside and around the window encasement. I also sprayed the window seals. I put down the ant traps out of reach of my child. This has helped tremendously but it lasts about 45 days then I have to respray.

Wash EVERYTHING on her bed! No food = no ants.

If your baby is NOT crawling yet, spray some ant stuff (there are safe indoor ones) right around the bed. Also, get some ant baits close to where you think the ants are from.

What kind of ants are they?

We had an issue with the big black carpenter ants. Unfortantely with those you have to attack the nest. Meaning if you keep finding them they've taken up residence. Can you track where they are coming from?

Use raid and OrthoMax on the nest. IT's what we did and we no longer have ANY ants!! YAY!!

Boric acid.

You will find it at the drug store.

It is use as a mild antiseptic. It is a white powder.

Mixed with water, people use it to rinse their eyes.

It works great.

I had ants all over the house (bathroom, kitchen). I used that i had result in a week.

"although it is generally not considered to be much more toxic than table salt "

"It is often used as a relatively nontoxic insecticide, for killing cockroaches, termites, fire ants, fleas, and many other insects. It can be used directly in powdered form for fleas and cockroaches, or mixed with sugar or grape jelly for ants. It is also a component of many commercial insecticides. In this use, especially in the case of cockroaches, the boric acid in the form of a powder is applied to areas frequented by the insects. The lightweight particles cling to the legs of the insects and eventually cause fatal chemical burns. Boric acid for this use in residential apartments is sold commercially in urban areas afflicted with cockroaches."

You can use Raid...just spray it around the baseboard of the entire room when you will be gone for a few hours and leave the windows open to air it out. Be careful not to spray it on anything else and this may need to be repeated a couple times to take care of the problem for the season.

Ants hate walking in baby powder. Something you probably already have. Fill in any cracks along the wall with it, or wherever they seem to be coming from.
