Sometimes I feel as if my son doesn't have everything he needs and I'm not a good enough mom for him. He's almost 2 so I don't know if adoption is a good option.

My husband and I have recently thought about adoption, I just have a few questions.

How much does it cost? On average

Which is better adoption internationally or nationally??

How long does it take take to finally get a child?? On average

And any other information about adoption would be very helpful thanks!!

My friend is 15 years old and is 5 1/2 months pregnant. She is due a few days before she is suppose to start 10th grade. The father was 19 years old and doesn't want to be involved. She has to go to school right after the baby is born. I think she should give the baby up for adoption. I know that it's her baby and she should be the one to take care of it and some may say the birth mother taking care of the baby is the best thing but is it really? The baby will have no father. Which by experience really sucks. She will have to go to school immediately after the babys born so in the most crucial bonding part of the baby's life she won't be there. Everyone in her family works full time so none of them will be able to watch the baby so wheres that leave the baby? With a babysitter? As soon as the baby's born?I just don't think thats right for the baby. Plus at 15 years old you cant find a job so theres no way she can take care of the baby.

Her mother has been in and out of her life since she was born. My step daughter is now 6 years old and calls me mommy and her real mom by her first name. I have been married to her dad for the past 5 years now and I want to adopt my step daughter.. But what legal rights would that give me over my stepdaughter if any that i dont have now. Dad has full legal physical custody of the child so i am not sure where to go from here? Any advice would be great. Thanks

I want to take an "unwanted" baby home with me and love him/her just like my own. Why does it have to cost so much? I could never afford it!

Will be between 9-18 months when we pick her up. I know children are really receptive to learning languages, and I'm assuming in the orphanage mostly Chinese will be spoken. I guess she might be a little behind in learning English right. I'll probably play a lot of learning games with her to get caught up. Anyone else share on experiences?

My husband and I want a child in our life but cannot have our own. We are willing for the birth mom to be involved so a private adoption sounds good to us but, we wondered if an agency was a better way to go. Besides private we have no idea how to find the person to adopt from. Any comments or suggestions would be great.
