I am 21 and I have an adopted sister that is 4 and she gets away with murder. i have to be honest. When I was 18 mom and dad suddenly adopted a 2 month old and I was upset because they didnt ask how we felt. I was 18 my brother 17 and my youngest brother 15 and here mom and dad was getting a new baby. We knew the birth mother and she already had 3 kids and she was on drugs real bad. I started getting used to having a sister and now that my parent are older they are real soft on her and lets her get away with everything but I love her. She is my sister as my brothers are my brothers. I forget sometimes that she is adopted. I dont think of her that way. I look at her real mom and I see how happy my sister is and I think God that my parents had a big enough heart to give that little girl a chance at a normal life. So Id say No. I dont resent her. Why would I? Its not her fault that her parents didnt want her!

It depends on the age difference and whether or not the children are obviously treated differently.
It takes a lot of hard work to create a balanced environment for a mixed family.
Often either the adopted or the biological child will go 'off the rails' in their teenage years, but it's hard to predict who and specifically why.
