I want to start using tampons and I think the only way to feel at ease about using them is by talking to my doctor about them and hearing her opinion. I am really shy when it comes to talking about these sort of things so I was wondering if this would be a good way to word my questions. " If I ask you a question your not going to tell my mom right? Well I was wondering what your opinion on tampons is and if you would recommend them to girls my age?" (14 years old) Would it be stupid to ask?

i was adopted my parents said they couldn't take care of me and that i was sort of an accident they had my sister two years before me and kept her and they could of kept me but they decicded not to i guess so im kind of jelous of my sister but they (the ones who gave me up)tell me not to be and i get really mad because they say that and they kept my sister but gave me up and my dad (one who gave me up) doesn't even like me that much. i always cry about it but they never seem to notice.i lived with them for a few years to be with my sister but i never seemed good enough for them ,they put me second and they made me feel like i dont belong on the world but she does ,like shes some kind of princess i dont know if its just me please tell me what you think

I have a very high voice and apparantly sound like a twelve-year-old on the phone. Which is bad, since I'm seventeen and have an after school job as a secretary.

My one best friend Justin's brother was just diagnosed with cancer. I know what he is dealing with becuase at age 10 i was diagnosed with leukimia but am in remmisson. He keeps shutting me out and i dont know what to do beacuse i really want to help because it hurts me to see him. What can i do?

I've noticed that my torso is always freezing cold and my legs aren't but then my feet are hot as heck! I would wear two jackets maybe even three (a coat, the lining and a hoodie) but still be the same as before. Is there something wrong with me?

Some things I do when I get too cold:

obviously I cant take a bath at school but when I'm at home I may run the water kinda hot and sit there for maybe an hour just so that my body isn't always cold

Have as many layers on as possible

but these either work for a little while or don't work at all...

If you know an 11-20+ year old with a serious attitude problem, do you think they deserve a gift for the holidays? What about parents who enable their kids to continue in their unproductive behaviors? Can't you just say, "Happy Holidays, pack your bags, you are going to military school tomorrow." If kids have NOT "been good this year," why get them anything if they haven't earned it or don't deserve it. Remember the days of getting lumps of coal and switches if you are on the naughty list? Stop baby-ing these kids and let them take some responsibility for their actions... do you think you are doing society a favor by stuffing their stocking with video games and cash? Come on... make this a holiday they will really remember.

Our 15 year old son is smart, funny and charming. As far as we know, he's open with us and will ask us any questions that are on his mind, including the awkward ones. He has a lot of friends that we like too. They appear very responsible and respectful to us. They are all on the honor roll but he's not. In fact, he failed four out of seven classes this last marking period. He loves sports and spends a lot of time researching players, statistics, etc. If he would spend that kind of time on his school work, failure would not be an issue. What can we do to get him more interested in school work?

well a few weeks ago i had sex unprotected with this one boy and i had sex with a nother boy protected. i think i am just in denial but ive been having nausea,vomitting,tiredness,constipation,always having to pee and maybe it is streesed. though the boy i had sex with was only for like 3 mins and he wanted to stop and he made a joke saying he came thats why he stopped and idk wat to do. and the other boy i had sex with was for like 50mins and mybe the condom could have gotten weak in that amount of time. i had my period about a week or two ago though i am still having these sypmtons. do you think the possibility of being pregant is slim?

One of my best friends for 10 years is seriously talking about starting up d-- rugs, ec-- stasy (sorry, got to put in spaces) to be specific. She has smoked pot before, and drinks fairly often, but somehow this scares me more than before. She has friends that want her to have it, and she really believes she "won't get hooked." She also wants a high since she has not had one in a while... She told all of this to me, and then another close friend while I was there. We are very very concerned about her, so we told a teacher we trusted very much. She says that she is going to help, tell the councelors to talk to her, and do whatever it takes to keep her away from them, while keeping us anonymous. She says she will eventually alert the family.
I feel horrible even though I've been told this is the right thing to do. Did I do this right, or did I betray her trust to tell someone??

ok so theres this guy named bob (fake name) and i really like him... hes 16 and imm 13 but hes the most respectful guy ever.
ok so heres the story...
my best freind sue (fake name) is dating bob shes also 13 and like i said bob is 16. one day after school we were all hanging out and tammy (fake name) asked bob when he was going to kiss sue. bob said idc when ever ue wants too.
tammy said come on why dont u kiss him? and sue said not right now!!! tammy said why are u prude???? bob reasponded with "hey dont tease her.. idc if shes prude!!

I have an online friend who's abused by his dad. I know he's being serious, I know he is who he says he is (we have done webcam) I've been talking to him for a year. ( please dont say that he's lying, I know he isn't) He's 17 and lives in Texas, but he's asked me never to tell anyone or try and help. His dad tortures him and really hurts him, he's broke his arm and messed up his one eye for life. I'm so worried about him. Every night we talk, he's crying because his dad did something. I want him to be safe, but I promised him I wouldn't get involved. I live on Colorado, is there anything I could do? I know his full name and the city he lives in, but I'm worried that if I do anything he'll hate me. He said that his dad told him if anyone ever found out he'd deny everything and hurt him more then ever! What should I do?!?!

I do drama and sometimes my mom thinks i am like impossible and really hard to deal with. I just watched the news and it featured a new Barbie doll.

This is the Barbie, representing Cher from her "Turn Back Time" video, when she was singing for military men in a thong bodysuit, boots, garters, etc. as you can see from the picture.

I find this Barbie to be inappropriate, as most young girls do not know Cher, and this just looks like Dominatrix Barbie to me. You think?

I'm a very young mom and I like to think I'm somewhat cool, but something about this, the overly sexy "Bratz" dolls, and all of these toys marketed to young girls are just horrifying. I remember having Barbie and the raciest thing she ever wore was a swimsuit! Obviously, parenting is more important than the influence of any toy, but do you think this is right? Why are things like this even being marketed? More importantly, why are parents buying these things?

I'm 18 and my boyfriend is 19 and we've been in a relationship for almost 3 years. We've been long distance for the last 2 years though. Next year I'm moving to his city for university. I'm staying in a dorm and he's staying at home.

We're really close and he's like my best friend more than anything.

We were talking about where we see ourselves in the future. He's really keen to get married soon and have children (after university) and that thought just scares me completely. I want to travel and just enjoy my friends before getting married and having children. I'm not even sure if I want to get married.

Do you think this is strange that he's getting clucky and wanting to start a family early? He knows how I feel but I get the feeling he's holding out for me to change my mind. He respects me and I know he wouldn't push it..
