No one can legally hire you, the minimum age is 16. Sorry, I know it's not the answer you wanted.
Why don't you try a prepaid phone? Use your babysitting/odd job money for phone cards.
There are child labor laws in effect to ensure that you are able to have a good education, and not be working 18 hours a day. In Illinois, children under 15 are only allowed 8 hours a day for school and work, schools around here run for 7-7 1/2 hours, that would only leave 1/2 hour for a job. No one is going to hire you for just 1/2 hour a day, plus most employers are looking for people who are responsible. Not to say that personally you're not responsible, but at 13 you don't know enough about anything to behave responsibly at a job.

You can't work at anything other than a baby sitting or odd job helping neighbors in Texas at 13. You can become employed in a family owned business at 14 but hours and responsibilities are strictly regulated (child labor laws) The law has a lot to say about employment prior to age 15 and even then , hours and dangerous occupations as well as working where dangerous machinery or alcohol are served are out.

im 14 too. And I hired for a job at a sonic near denton. And I got it! There are rules for our age group though. It's mostly says.....that we can't work from 10am-5pm/midnight on school nights. And we can't work more than 48 hours a week/ or 8hours a day. You can look it up. Just saying that some jobs will hire you for being 14.

I don't think you can get a real job... If you decide to use the other answerer's suggestion, someone may end up in jail and you may be on the news... I doubt you want that kind of attention, just for a cell phone...
When I needed money to buy this jacket, I would do errands for my neighbors, sell some of my things, and etc... You need to get your creative mind working...

obviously ur parents told u that is the only wayur parents are going to allow u to get a cell phone but there are no jobs that u can get at that age. so i would suggest something that is offered for kids ur age mayb through the mayor r something like that but otherwise ther is nothing u can do. ask family members if there is something that u can do r ask ur parents if there is something xtra that u acn do around the house r something like that and also an idea is geting a prepaid plan.
