Adolescent - December 2007

Hi,
I'm 16 and I want to move out. I have a serious job and everything set up for my life. I dropped out of school 2 years ago so I could pursue my dreams and help out my family (and made it work) so I know about responsibility. I want to move across the country to LA for opportunities there. My Mom and Dad aren't sure about this, so I was just wondering what people thought. I don't really mind where I live at the moment, but I feel like I'm hanging around here, waiting to grow up.
What do you think? Am I too young? or, if not, how do i convince them?

why do people make up questions to get points under assumed names. it's stupid and dishonest. if you do this it's cheating honest people of real honest answers and points. it's like taking from someone at school the more that you do it the more you must cover it up by doing it again and again. you can lock up from a theif but liars are hard to keep out of trouble.

I'm 13 and i'm pretty sure I have a yeast infection. I want to tell my mom I have it and for her to take me to a clinic but everytime I try, it gets all awkward and I end up changing the subject or just telling her "nevermind". It's real embarrassing.

i asked this question before but nobody is answering.
i need help with my math grade.
im so scared!
i know its vacation.
but my math teacher teaches 3 grades math.
she gives my class homework on something we dont understand.
the next day we start something new.
& then by the end of the week we have a quiz on it.
i usually get a D or a F.
then we do that for about 2 weeks.then we have a big test on it.
i usually fail.
we don't have any tutors in my school.
my family cant afford to pay for a tutor.
going to my principal is not a option because EVERYONE is terrified of her.
my teacher sux at teaching now,so she cant tutor me after school or before school.
& also.
to all the people that have her as a math teacher,that i have talked to..they say that she cant teach either!
please help me.

I'm been afraid of fireworks ever since I was little (I'm 15 now) and they still scare me to death! Its the noise that I hate the most, I also hate balloons popping, gunshots, etc. because I just had loud noises. So obviously my two least favorite holidays are 4th of July and New Years Eve which is tomorrow and I'm insanely scared!!! How do I get over my fear? Last year my dad bought fireworks and I was scared out of my mind so I just turned on my iPod and I didn't hear a thing but its an embarrasing fear and I need a way to get over it. Help!!!!!

Friends of my parents live blocks from us. They are away most of the time so they said my and my sisters can use their backyard pool. Since they are not home, their house is locked, we can't get to the bathroom to pee.

Earlier I asked where we could pee and people suggested to pee in the yard. What is the best place?

My family is hosting a lunch party for some of my mom's side of the family for Christmas today. I went into the kitchen to see if I could help with anything and stopped because I saw something on the table. I asked if it was fruitcake and my grandmother told me it was some kind of homemade cranberry bread. I then said "Oh good cause I don't really like fruitcake". Then my mom just started yelling at me saying stuff like "You know somebody brought that fruitcake just for us so why don't you keep your mouth shut!" or something else like "(name) why don't you get quiet right now" and I was trying to defend myself by saying "Mom it wasn't even fruitcake" and she would just yell at me more in front of my whole family and my grandmother was trying to calm her down but she wouldn't listen and just kept yelling at me. Now I'm sitting here in my room just crying my eyes out while everyone else has a good time..was my mom overreacting or am I just rude?

Here's the deal. Last week my big sis announced to the family (my parents, me and our bros) That she is 3 months pregnant. (My sis is only 17). My parents although a little mad said that they will be there for her. My bros (aged 19, 18 and 16) have gotten even more overprotective of ME than usual. I haven't done anything wrong. after highschool, i want to major the medical study, and be a doctor but my parents seems to not really agree with me. they keep offering me other choices and cynically telling stories that is meant to discourage me. such as practical autopsy, difficult lessons, injection, some of them are badly paid (in my country), and how one of my relatives ends up not practicing after finish medical school. or whatever. seems my parents doubt my patience and will to study in a long time (it takes a long time to be a doctor, doesnt it?) and FYI, i'm the only kid in my family. they think it's not suitable for a girl coz you-know-why. i know my parents hope for the best for their daugther, but i cant think of other choices, i would really like to be a doctor. i'm really serious. i know the risks and i accept them. how to convince them to agree? or should i find another field?

So I'm 15 years old and have been dating this guy for 4 1/2 months. We want to hang out with each other on New Years Eve but I told my Aunt and Uncle I would babysit. They said it was ok if he came over and my mom said it was ok with her if it was ok with them, but my dad doesnt want him too. Me and my girlfriend have been sexually active for the last year or so, and she has been on birth control since we've started having sex. But last month her birth control ran out and I made the stupid mistake of having sex with her without a condom...the last 3 times.

She has recently complained to me that her stomach had been hurting and some smells have been bothering her. We really think she's pregnant and a baby is the last thing we need considering we're about to go college. She has a bright future in front of her and a baby would ruin that for her, and I cant stand the thought of me ruining that for her. Her parents would kill me and make her break up with me if they were to find out about this, so I want this to be kept under wraps from them if thats possible.

So if anyone could provide me with answer to the question "Can you get an abortion without parents finding out at the age of 17 in the state of Missouri?" it would really help me out and give me piece of mind.

question number one....ive fallen in love with some one i carnt have he says he loves me...but hes in love with someone else..hes so cute he says "we dont have to do anything if your not ready for it, you dont even have to come anywere near me...i love you so much....." he calls me stunning and beutiful and makes me feel sooo special...hes the only one i can achually talk to....hes made a huge difference in my life and i dunno what to do shall i just steal him away from the girl whos messed with his head for years dumping him and getting back and saying shes had a miscarriage and blaming it on him...i just want to be with him................????

everyon is like, ' on the commerical for the movie' goodbye zoey? ' ( NOTICE THE QUESTION MARK!!!!!! ) you can see her stomach a little bit fatter already '

geez some ppl are STUPID. they ALREADY recorded the 4th season LAST YEAR! the shows that air on TV are NOT LIVE!

so, the show is probably NOT getting canceled.

in the movie, ' goodbye zoey? ' notice the QUESTION MARK in the movie's title, zoey finally finds out chase loves her. NOW, she comes BACK to PCA, and THAT begins the 4th season. with zoey KNOWING that chase loves her.

then, by the time the WHOLE 4th season is shown, Jaime would have had her kid, maybe post pone the show for a few months. then start recording again!

sorry im not trying to sound rude. but some people need to use common sense for once.

does anyone know what im saying? do u think its getting canceled?

ok, my grandma was talking to me and told me that, any kids are better than us! any of ur grandparents ever say that to you...i mean kids behave good around grown ups, but also want to act like themselves to ( they are staying w/us for 2 months. ) so we act as we normally do, and we get acussed for misbehaving, when we are not...help me what can i do with her, and talking to her doesnt help much, my mom knows, and is also getting really pissed (they made the house a mess)

any advice, to not getting angry and explode at them!!!???

Ok, this sound a bit wierd I guess, but I'm 12, and I don't have pierced ears, and, I know, most people get their ears pierced at a young age. But, my my mom told me that I couldn't get my ears pierced until I had matured over a problem, and it was about potty training, and it's hard to explain, but I matured over it at 11, right before my school started in late August, and I just haven't brought it up with my mom. I don't know how, my mom's 54, almost like a friend, and she got her ears pierced at 18, when her mom let her. I really want to ask her, because it stresses me to not ask her. I want to get it done at Claire's. And I really want to know how to bring it up. I'm not the coolest person in the 6th grade, but I'm not dull and dumb, theres only 2 girls in my class that don't have pierced ears, and they are smart, uncool, and one doesn't even WANT friends. Please give me conversation starters. Thanks!! :)
